Needed to start a new one... I called at 7:20am and nothing...like you're surprised, right?

When I called theCM sounded like a recording, must be LOTS of the same question regarding the same question. You would think Disney would put a message on the phone when you first call to the effect of " If you are inquiring about AP rates, please press the # button ". This way the CM's can assist more people and not have to answer the same question over and over and over...

Oh, that's right, I am using planning and common sense, and we all know how well Disney and common sense get along don't we ???

At least we are all keeping our sense of humor. ;)

BTW, Colt, everytime I see you post something I have to do a double take because I think Ive posted something, LOL! Great user name! :D

I decided to give the Swan a try for our Christmas trip. I got a great discount and I'm not stressing over APs rates any more.
I'm looking forward to our trip.Good Luck everyone.

I booked OKW & GF with DC discount - merely 15% but better than nothing:(

I am still holding out for AP rates though:smooth:

I decided to book yesterday without discounts for Christmas at AS movies. I thought 87 for a preferred room was okay but it would be nice if something came along. I asked the girl about AP discounts and she mentioned that they often implemented these around Christmas if they were having trouble booking but she told me this year they are booking like mad and it is anyone's guess whether Disney will do the discounts or not. She was very nice and suggested checking back towards the end of this month.

If you dont mind me asking, how did you get 87.00 for preferred at Christmas? We were booked in a regular room for 124.00/night (including tax)! Thats what made our decision to go for the AP rate at the Swan so easy...$40.00 more a night to go from a value to a deluxe.

I booked beginning on the 19th. The rates don't go up until the 20th. So I got lucky and they had a room for the amount of days I needed. It made it possible for me to go a little longer since I got the $87 instead of the 100+ that I would have paid one day later.

She said there is a place where they have the info if AP rates come out. I have not been able to locate a discounts section on any of Disney's website. DOes anybody know where this would be?

I have seen other general public discount codes on the Disney website but I have never seen AP discount codes on the offical Disney webiste.

Mousesavers usually has them posted right after they come out. There is also a travel agent over on the intercot boards that posts right away.

There is a AP section on disney.com but it's only for Florida Residents.
