AP vs 4day ticket

Am I missing something? I thought AP's cost more than 4 day tickets. I just checked the site, and unless I messed up, they are the same price at $239.99. (We have three day tickets for two people in our group who will likely never come back. We had planned on possibly upgrading their tickets to 4 days as we have 4 vacation days).

That's what I've heard. As long as you aren't going during any blackout dates you should be fine to upgrade to a Powerpass.

Sometimes this happens with Theme Parks. I haven't had a Busch Gardens pass since 2012 but when I had one, the AP was the same price as a single day! I'd day its worth it to get the AP. If one of you gets the next level, you can enjoy discounts as well

Yeah... Power pass has blackouts which is what I get. My BFF was only going to be $15 dollars shy or something from an AP with her 3 day ticket so to convinced her to just get an AP just in case... We're going to be using her pass 3 times now so glad I did.

Power pass has blackouts and not as many discounts... Like I don't get food or merch discounts I don't believe, but I do get hotel discounts which is nice. So if you're staying onsite and they still have an APH rate available you might actually save money by getting an annual.

If you do what my brother does he gets one upper annual pass and everyone else gets a lower- he gets food, merch, and hotel discounts and the then olans his trips to go a year later one year and a week earlier the next to get two uses out of it. Then doesn't renew and purchases again a year later. Saves him a boat load Wih a family of 4!(and sometimes 5 or 6)

Oh! And if you're staying offsite and get an APH you'll still be able to get hour early entry! Depends what you value. But it can never hurt if it's the same exact price. Renewal gets a discount so it'd be cheaper and then if for some reason you find a reason to go again.... Hey you have tickets!

We already have AP's for the rest of our group - including one of the mid-level for the discount. We are taking two of our nephews from Maine so I doubt they'll be back within the year. But - if it's still the exact same price when we go, then it doesn't hurt to get them AP's. I had thought the 4 day was cheaper than an AP so I was surprised. Their tickets were only $200 each including tax for three days through UT, so a great deal. We were looking at prices to upgrade since we will have four days possible for parks.

You don't get the early hour with APH normally. We did when we went in Nov/Dec not during holiday weeks but they no longer have that going on. We will be onsite during our upcoming trip though.

Hi, I didn't know this--do AP holders really get access to Early Entry just like on site hotel guests??

Thanks!
We were writing at the same time. No they don't unless a special promotion is going on. It was weekdays with your AP when we went in Nov/Dec not during holiday weeks. It is not going on currently.

Thanks--makes sense as I hadn't seen it on the UO website and that would be a key perk they'd want to market if it was permanent I'm sure.

Either way, glad I upgraded our 2+1 day tix to power passes during our first UO trip last weekend!

I hear ya - its a crazy deal to upgrade to APs. Last year, we had planned a trip which was going to be a once and only. When I priced out 3 days tix, I soon discovered that APs were really inexpensive. I ended up buying 4 day tix from a discounter and with price bridging, it only cost me about $5 pp to upgrade to Power Passes. We ended up going back 3 times so got lots of fun for our buck. Our Passes expire in May and we don't expect to return for a while.

I get the emails when AP holders get the specials such as EE perk entry

Have seen it in the past for sept

Really? We discuss it on the Facebook UOAP all the time. I'm sorry, I really thought it was for AP all the time. I apologize for misinforming.

I have been looking at 4 day ticket prices for a future trip. Everyone seems to be selling them for about the same price, or within a few dollars of each other. Does Costco in Orlando sell USO tickets?

I think I got mine through priceline or Orbitz with a good ebate cash back. I then took my 4 day tix to the park and upgraded to Power Passes at guest services inside the park where they price bridged it.

When we got our non-resident preferred AP's back in Nov 2009, the price of each was about the same as two 2-day park to park tickets. We knew Harry Potter would be opening in the next year so we figured we would get in another visit.
The renewal price of that AP as well as the great hotel discounts keeps us renewing ever since.

I am planning to upgrade my 3 day ticket to a power pass when I get there next month. My only question is if I should pay the $80 or so dollar difference for the next level pass to get food and merchandise discounts. It will be me and my three younger cousins with 3 park days. Does anyone know when they release the power pass block out dates for next year? I have a Disney AP that expires 4/13/17 and this one will expire 5/28/17. If I try to get in a spring trip before both passes expire I'm afraid I might hit a black out week
