My question is this....If you already have a 10 day park hopper pass, can you upgrade to an AP and get the DVC member discount?

I'm interested in this also. We still don't know if we are going to buy an AP. We want to order tickets from Undercover Tourist but were waiting until we decided what works best for us.

So basically, once we use the ticket we can upgrade at the current value at Disney parks? Can this be done on the same day you use the ticket? Also, wouldn't a 10 day non-expiring from Undercover Tourist actually be more than a DVC Annual Pass? Would they credit the amount?

Official policy is no refunds/credits.

If you are not sure of your plans, why not buy a 10 day base ticket or even a shorter length ticket. You can always add the non-expiration option or upgrade to a longer length ticket if you decide the AP upgrade is not the best value for you. But once you use a ticket, you have to upgrade within 14 days of the first use.
