So I'm not sure if anyone else had this problem, but it was sheer chaos and anger at the AP Star Tours Preview today. I got there promptly at 4 pm at the beginning of my slot and I noticed they were turning people away. When it was my turn to ask what was going on, I was told that the ride was down and they were almost certain it wasn't going to be coming back on at all today
My stomach dropped to say the least. If I hadn't had seen LM right before hand and was just thrilled, I might have said some choice words I would most likely want to take back
The CM said to check back in an hour and see what was going on.
So that's what I did. I walked around DL looking in the shops and finding some knick knacks DBF would love, getting a mint julep, watching the Jedi Training Academy (them kids are so darn cute!!), etc. So it's a little after 5 pm and I decide to head back to see if Star Tours was open yet. Nope. Still broken down.
By this point, I was getting frustrated, bummed and was thinking that there was no way I was going to get to see it
I then decided to ask a CM if they were going to compensate this time slot if the ride never opened, and he said possibly, but a sign at the entrance said "Flights may be canceled without notice", and that made him unsure. I wasn't really expecting any compensation, but I was desperate at this point.
By now it was about 5:30 and the new Soundsational parade started at 6:30. So, I sat on a bench and waited for the parade, which was fantastic by the way. I then decided that this was going to be my last attempt at seeing if the ride was going to be up, as it was already around 7:15 and my slot closed at 8. And, miraculously, it was open!!

I really couldn't have been happier.
So I hurried over to the FP line, grabbed my first pass, and after a 20 minute wait, took my first flight!! It was great, but my first two rides were the EXACT same sequence of scenes. They were identical. I thought...is it just coincidence, or am I just unlucky??
But thankfully, my last two rides were completely different and I left very satisfied and SO excited to bring DBF back this summer
My favorite scene I think is the beginning Darth Vader one and the Naboo underwater one. And the pod race comes close too
