AP site frustration - can't log in anymore!

The new page is infinitely easier to use. Now they have the backings of all 3 cards. The annual pass, and the two different versions of the voucher. Maybe you are putting the numbers in the wrong form because I have a voucher and the numbers go straight across!

Hello, Thanks for the input, but I am putting the information in correctly. I am using the correct card section. Like I said, the Disney CM on the phone walked me through this and I had been putting the numbers in correctly all along - straight across. I WAS able to log in to the AP site using someone elses computer, so I know that I am doing the numbers correctly. This site may appear easier to use, but I am not the only one who is not able to sign in on the passholders site using this new log-in page. Thanks anyway. Any help appreciated.

It sounds like, as you mentioned, it's some type of setting on your computer. Have you contacted the support desk for the manufacturer? I would think they might be able to help you or at least diagnose the problem as to what software is causing it or what settings you may need to change in addition to the ones you already have (deleteing cookies, lowering security, etc.)

I'm in the same boat as Tink. AOL McAfee security is doing something to my main computer which will not let me get to the point of booking an AP room, and now after booking 3 trips with the same number, I am not able to book more. I get in, but it reverts me back to the sign on page. I know I am using the correct numbers.
As I said in the previous post, I was able to get in to book a BRP rate by using my laptop and the search engine Mozilla Firefox, not AOL with McAfee.

It's somewhat comforting to know there are others out there like me, ;) but that doesn't help us log in, right? My problem is exactly like yours.

Here is the latest email from Disney concerning my inability to log on to the AP site:

There have been some guests that needed to make adjustments to any
local firewalls or to anti-virus
programs such as Norton. Even your ISP can block cookies without you
knowing it in your browser.
Since you are able to log in on a different computer, it would also
lead to the conclusion that it
is a setting on your computer that is preventing the log in from
completing.

We have verified that the code as you listed in your email will log
into the site.

We will forward your comments to the appropriate area for review.

Again, why does a site have to be so quirky that a small number of users cannot log in to it??? A single AP is around $400 and the AP site is non-functional to some of us. It's pathetic.

Like you, shoes99, I was able to make two BRP ressies online with no problem before they changed their log on page. I'd like to ask Disney what the heck THEY DID to THEIR settings since then.

I have tinkered with so many things here in order to log on. Nothing works. I have turned off Zone Alarm and Comcast McGaffee to see if that is the problem, but it isn't. So if I have no trouble whatsoever logging on to any site in the vast universe, whose fault is it that some of us can't log in to the AP site? :confused3

Sorry, the frustration of it all really gets to me.

You do know that you can always book the Best Rate over the phone everyday between 2pm and 5pm right? :earsboy:

Thanks, yes, I do know I can book over the phone. :) However, I like having the info out in front of me, then mull it over, and then make a decision. Thanks again for the reply. :earsgirl: :)

At this stage, I have already booked a room for spring, but was toying with the idea of upgrading to a different resort. It's only for two nights, but I wanted to compare rates online in order to make a decision. I also would like to be able to keep track of rates in order to plan for future trips. What can I say, I love to plan! ;) This is definetly taking all the fun out of it for me. :(

I have 11 months left on my AP. I am interested in being able to log on to the AP site to be able to shop and compare resort rates over the next 11 months and to see what's new. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I think a person paying $400 for an AP, should be able to access the AP site. Calling WDW for everything can get pretty expensive. I'd like to do the window shopping online as much as possible before calling. :sunny:

I wish Disney would allow us to make changes to our ressies online as well, the way Southwest Airlines does. That would make things so much easier. They let us book online, but adding an extra night or changing resorts, etc, requires a phone call. If they really wanted to offer us a seamless vacation experience, they would give us a little more control over our ressie online imo and who knows, maybe they are headed that way. :wizard:

Thanks for reading,
Tink

Don't have any information to help you out, but wanted to add my name to the list of people not able to get on. I've tried everything under the sun, just like you, but still can't get on. My dh informed me 3 days ago to make reservations for February, but I can't get on the AP site to see what's available at what price. Now I'm past the 60 day mark. I found out today by reading this forum and mousesavers that you can now call and book. :confused3 I'm beginning to think I may not renew my AP since I can't utilize the AP site. I'm a Florida resident, so I can get the Seasonal Pass at a lot less than an AP, but it's still a lot of money to spend and not be able to book a room.

Believe me, I feel your pain. There is no way I will renew my AP if I am never going to be able to access the site. All those long distance calls to FL trying to find out what the AP rates are, trying to book an AP rate or trying to change an AP reservation might offset any savings an AP might offer. I know I'm speaking out of frustration. This was my first AP purchased. It will most likely be my last. I was originally very pleased with the ease of booking the AP rate online. Now that I am no longer able to access the AP site, all the benefits I found in booking at a great price, are down the tubes.

I am really hoping they make the changes to their site neccessary to allow all AP users to access it. It just makes no sense to me that a company like Disney cannot figure out a way to accomodate all AP users on their site.

I'm having problems as well with the site. All this time I thought it was me. I'll let you all know if I'm able to get in. Frustrating.

I got on!

I cleared the cookies and did not use the first 3 numbers after "Tr" and it finally worked!

Hi, I'm very happy you were able to log in to the AP site. :)

I still cannot log in. One thing I feel like I'm missing out on is any info they are putting up there about Expidition Everest for AP holders. I have to wait and read it here. Very bummed. :sad2:

Disney is still in contact with me about this problem, but they have come up with nothing to fix it. :confused3

Thanks for your reply,

Tink

I have the same problem can't login using the numbers on my Ap. Funny thing is on the same computer I can use my DH AP numbers. I didn't change any alarms or cookies. Go firgure? :confused3

Sorry this is happening to you too. I'm glad you found a way in. That's strange that you can access the site with your DH's AP numbers.

I bet there are many that can't log on to the AP site.

I have been using computers since 1997. While I'm no computer whiz, I have always been able to solve my problems after doing research on the net. I've been struggling with this AP site problem for weeks with no success... not even a clue as to why I cannot log on.

Disney emailed and asked if I could just use another computer until the problem is solved. Oh sure, that's convenient.

Here's hoping they fix their site for all AP holders. :wizard:

All of sudden i'm able to log in again and I haven't changed anything on my computer

We just received our exchange certificates and are having problems accessing the site. We tried both IE and Mozilla browsers.
Our code is in the format
NB004 MM/DD/YYYY WDW AAA TR:bb cc

We have tried entering many different values for the web sites portion after the TR, but cannot seem to access the web site. Any tips would be appreciated.

No tips for logging in as I can't get my AP to work but I can check dates/rates on the TA site for you if you want to post dates and resort.

First, make sure you are using the correct voucher. By the look of your format, I think you need to use Exchange Certificate 2 (which is the last one on the page)

The key is the following: DO NOT PUT THE NUMBER AFTER THE TR: into the last box. put the card number in there.

For example if my card had these numbers (above the magnetic strip):
NB004 01/02/2006 WDW:042 TR:162 313 395.00

First things first, choose the correct exchange certificate. If you have a voucher, it is obvious you don't use the first choice because that's for people with active annual passes. I think if you have vouchers now, the 2nd exchange certificate is probably yours. It might not be though so be sure.

The first thing you do is enter the date as 01 in the first box, 02 in the second box, and 06 in the last box.

Then from the drop down window you find your 3 letter code. Mine is WDW then enter the number that comes right after the WDW. In this example, it is 024 .

Next on the site, you'll se TR:### . Yo don't need to enter the number right after the TR: (in this case, don't enter 162). In the final blank, enter 313. That's it! The 395.00 is the amount you paid for it!

Thanks for the help everyone.

We cleared our cookies (thought we did this last night, but it was late) and also entered our name in all capital letters (as in the receipt letter).

Now we just need some discounted rates for May.

Hi, I'm so glad you were able to log on to the AP site. When I read your comment about entering your name in all capital letters, I thought, "Could this be it? If I do this, will this be the key that will let me in to the AP site?" Well, no such luck. I STILL cannot log on to the AP site.
