Can only be done in-person.I understand I can use an existing ticket to renew an AP.
Can I do this over the phone or must it be done in person?
Can only be done in-person.
Thanks!Guest Relations, in person, is your best bet. Most vacation planning/ticket booth CMs aren't trained how to do this. (I asked one of my managers the last time I had a guest who wanted to do it, and he didn't know either!)
Did you just renew your AP or use a ticket to bridge a renewal?Last time I renewed and paid for mine on line but had to go to GS to have it activated. I just went to a ticket booth at Epcot, I was there mid day and there were at least 3 open with no one in line. I printed out my confirmation just in case but it wasn't needed and MDE did show me having renewed. I think everyone has to be there with an ID, not sure about a minor. Yes, you have 30 days before or after.
You can apply the value of a ticket towards the renewal of an AP, but it can only be done in person at WDW.If you are talking about just a ticket and converting that to an AP, that is doable but it wouldn't be at a renewal price, it would be at a regular AP price minus the cost of a current ticket.
I've done that several times, always at guest services. You can apply the value of a ticket towards the renewal of an AP, but it can only be done in person at WDW.
Yes, I have done that several times., or is this a renewal of ap + a theme park ticket you want to roll into the renewal cost (can you even do this?)
Yes, this. I'm positive it can be done.I'm a little confused, are you renewing an existing annual pass (that can be done online or phone if I recall correctly) or is this a non-ap ticket and your looking to upgrade it into the AP (this is done at parks), or is this a renewal of ap + a theme park ticket you want to roll into the renewal cost (can you even do this?)
No, it's a renewal. We all 3 have current AP now. Sorry, I left that part outI renewed an existing AP. If you are talking about just a ticket and converting that to an AP, that is doable but it wouldn't be at a renewal price, it would be at a regular AP price minus the cost of a current ticket.
What I'm working on nailing down is does DGD need to be there in person also or can DH and I (bridge) renew hers when we (bridge) renew his
Yes, saw that. But that isn't specifically addressing bridge renewals. Based on reports from those who are bridging, that should be done in person. Really isn't convenient to bring her next month. Her next trip is July. I think we'll just plan on not needing DGD to renew hers, just for her to pick it on our trip in July. From https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/faq/passholders/annual-pass-renewal-cost/
"Though the pass owner does not need to be present for renewal, each Annual Passholder will need to be present at the ticket window to receive his or her pass."
I read that as you can renew their pass but they will need to stop at guest relations to activate the new pass/get the new card.

One of the posters above is a ticketing CM and she said to go in person so I'm going in person to bridge DH's ticket. I trust her way more than ANYONE on the phone.I don't see why that would be different as your just paying for the renewal and then she can go and pick up her card when she's around. There is an annual pass number on the contact page for disney's website. it's not hte same as the travel number so it might get you the answers you need fast. please come back and let me know as I'll probably need to do this myself around august.![]()
I have done this many times, I use the tickets I purchase to recieve free dining. Be very careful on pricing. Last year they had to redo the whole transaction because the did not give me the discount price for renewing the AP.I understand I can use an existing ticket to renew an AP.
