AP Renewal and FP+

Our APs expire on Aug. 10 and we won't be going until Aug. 16 for our summer trip. Will be have to renew our APs online to be able to make our FP times in June. Not exactly sure how this will work. Also, if we are now DVC members and will renew at their rate, if we have to renew before our June FP date, do we do that through the DVC site. Thanks

Are you planning on getting the special rate on the DVC PAP? You can purchase before April 30th and than do will call. You add the will call number into MDE to book FP. Sorry if this is not what you were asking.

If you want the DVC PAP then I believe you can buy that online directly. But if you are only looking to renew your APs at the DVC member price, then you need to call DVC member services. The you go to the ticketing window when you arrive and show your member card and ID to activate your will call numbers.

I just did this today. The DVC renewal price is $435.xx per person. The PAP is $484 so if you will use any of those extras it may be worth it. We do not use any of the extras the PAP includes, so it is a waste for us. If you are concerned about FP+ selection, you should call and purchase over the phone ahead of your 60 day window, and you will get a will call number. You then enter that number into the MDE website under the link tickets section. You then assign the passes associated with that number to people, so you need to be sure you have everyone properly linked in your MDE account. Then you will be able to make you FP+ reservations at 60 days.

As an FYI we were waiting for a variety of reasons to buy our renewals. Did it today for an arrival in 17 days. We were copying the FP+ reservations of others in our group who already had them, and with the exception of the very difficult to score Anna and Elsa FP, we got everything copied no problem, meaning availability was not an issue. However availability could become more of an issue as more people are aware that all guests are now eligible for advance FP+ reservations.
