AP rates question....

Click on the subtopic of this forum at the top. Codes and Rates. You can find what is offered there.

Right now Disney is only offering a program called Best Rate for AP holders. You must have the pass or a voucher and book online. You must book at least 60 days in advance and there is a nonrefundable deposit of one night's stay.

If you already have your pass, go to the Passholder's site at disneyworld.com and you check availiblity.

Sammie....we do already have our AP's, so I went to the passholder portion of the disney website to book - but they are currently only doing that Best Rate program until February. We are looking to book in June of 2006.

I was just curious if they would go back to codes? Or if this Best Rate program would most likely be extended? Maybe as June gets closer, they will release more info - or like you said - I can click on the codes and rates forum.

Thanks for the info... :flower:

Not sure if they will, but hope they do. :Pinkbounc

Hi,

Long time AP holder here. I do not think that anyone can say for sure but it currently appears that the BRP is the way of the future and that there are currently no call in AP rates avaiable.

If Disney stays to the schedule they have used so far they released BRP rates for Nov in July (when they rolled out the program) and I was able to book a BRP rate for our Jan 2006 trip on August 15th.

Right now I am happy with the rate we have on our room at POR for this coming NOV. We have $109 a night plus tax. It truely is the best rate I have seen for a moderate for our time frame of Nov 19th through the 26th.

We also have a savanna view room at the AKL booked for our Jan 2006 trip through the BRP. It is $240 a night inc tax (rounded). Last year same time frame we paid $168 a night inc tax for a savanna view room. That was the AP rate.

They way I look at it the rates are up not because of the BRP but because travel is up and therefore hotel rates are up all over.
