I was just on the website, they've updated with Passholder rates good through Oct. 2. Up to 42% off!

ETA: 35% off for values & mods; 42% off for deluxe and deluxe villas.

Thanks for posting earlier this morning. As soon as I saw this post, I hopped on the passholder's site and then called to book BWV for our 8/14 through 8/22 stay. The first night will be slightly more, but 15-22 are at $197.20 for a studio. We were booked at Pop Century, so this will be a sweet upgrade. I'm not telling DD15 until we have to get on the ME bus!

It seems like a lot of the lower room categories are not available, negating the potential savings.

Just booked Polynesian Theme Park View for September for $295.80 per night. Garden view is $211.70 and Lagoon View is $272.60. Not cheap but certainly cheaper than the regular rates!

Selection is pretty lousy.
Need a room for Oct 1st... No POFQ avail, and CBR only pirate available, and the deluxes are only the more expensive level rooms. ugh!

:worship:thanks for posting this!:worship:

Just booked a Value resort on a weekend in September for $67.50 a night, including tax:woohoo:

We debated booking a deluxe, but decided we really wanted a super-cheapo value room instead so we could "justify" DxDDP...we would rather have deluxe dining instead of deluxe room:laughing: Got it:banana:

Fun weekend coming up in just 12 weeks:thumbsup2

Now I just need to hope for AP rates in November so I can go back & see the Christmas decorations

I'm glad at least some people were able to benefit - sorry it isn't working for many of you.

I already had my summer trip booked at the previous AP rate, but saw this on the website early this am and had to come share.:grouphug:

Thanks. I already had a 40% special from the general public rate, so the extra 2% pretty much took care of a lunch for me. Every little bit helps, right?

Last time I stayed at the Yacht Club, it was in the midst of a tropical storm, checking in on 9/14/01. (That was a fascinating week to be at WDW.)

Yay, my calculations were correct (I thought they would come out yesterday or today) So excited i've been waiting what seems like FOREVER!! I had the 40% off but it was more about being able to add the DDP than the added discount, but I couldn't believe the Poly price!! $211/night!!!

Same for us! We had Poly CL GV booked at 40%, now are at 42% :lmao: But a savings of 70 bucks is either lunch for the family or a whole lotta dole whips! I'll take it. :thumbsup2

I have been waiting for the ap rates for come out (buyingy first ap on this trip) but it never occurrd to me the rate wouldn't be good for my whole trip Oct 1-5!
I found out today that I could make 2 ressies, one for new AP rate on Oct 1-2 then another for Oct 3-4 and apply AP rate when that comes out all the while crossing fingers that rooms will be available at the same resort. Ugh!!!

I currently have a bounceback rate of 35% off at a moderate. Usually the AP rate beats a bounceback by about 5%, but not this time.:confused3 My dates are Oct 9th-17th though. Wonder when an AP rate for those dates might come out and if it might beat the bounce back rate?

Yes, I just came to post this. I checked my email and saw that 6 of my accounts had the passholder email annoucement about the release. I, as a passholder for 15 years now, am not happy about being the last to get a discount on the rooms, when the GP got theirs a long time ago. Makes me glad to be a DVC members (actually I'm happy to be a DVC member for many reasons). Hope some folks get what they're waiting for.

I totally agree! I've been perplexed about the timing of the GP versus AP discount release. If those dates had been within my desired frame I could have booked with the GP code and hopefully been able to apply the AP code but it still perplexed me. In the past the I believe that historically the AP discounts have been released at least a day before the GP. Not a big gripe, merely an observation.
I am grateful to those of you that have taken the time to share the info because I did not get an e-mail informing me.
Good luck to all of you that were waiting for the AP code. Hope you get what you want and have a most magical visit.pixiedust:

Well, we're going 8/14 through 8/22 and already have a bounceback rate booked. I'm kinda bummed that they didn't do the AP rate like they did the GP rate - where they just extended the same summer code through the next period. When the August GP rates came out, I was able to book the whole trip under the same reservation. In order to book this rate for my whole trip, I'd have to split the reservation. Bounceback discount is 40% and this is 42%, so I'd only save about $7 a night... not worth messing with two reservations for that.

Yeah I called yesterday just to see when they thought they might come out with Passholder rates and was pleasantly surprised to find out they came out yesterday. We book our trip for Sept. :cool1:
So excited.

So glad I opted for the Travelocity rate, especially since my in-laws called this morning to see if they could book an AP for POFQ for the same time we were there in Sept. and it was sold out. Looks like there isn`t a lot available at the AP rates, probably due to the large amount of PINs, GP rates and the Travelocity deals recently.

Can someone advise me please re the APH? I have reservations already made at Contemporary and Yacht Club for Oct 28 and 29 and Nov 13-16/2010.
I don't have an APH and was wondering the following:

If APH rates come out for those dates can these reservations be switched to the APH rate?

Do I have to have the pass when I call reservations or can I buy it just before I go?

....I don't want to buy a pass and then not be able to use it for a discount as that would be the reason for buying it as we probably wont be back within the year.

Thanks for your help!

As long as they have inventory at the those resorts for the AP rate then YES you can just change the ressie to the AP rate code.

Do I have to have the pass when I call reservations or can I buy it just before I go? You can check in, then go to the park or DTD to purchase your AP - you will need to show the AP to the front desk with in a day or so of checking in or else the price reverts to rack rate.
