AP Rates for AFTER August 4th are...........

OK, gotta be quick. For those that have been getting the system error message. I have tried at least 50 times gotten error message. deleted cookies and temp. file once and rebooted same problem. Well I just tried again went to tools, then internet options, selected delete cookies, delete temp. files; rebooted computer. then went to passholder site, got on, played around on passholder site first going to all options but Special offers. then I clicked Special offers and I got on , no error message and I am currently checking rates through another browser; I might have deleted something that my husband will want to hang me for, as I know nothing about computers, but hey I'm on. Maybe it was all luck but you may want to give it a try.

Thanks for letting me know they fixed the site. I knew my computer skills were questionable. Lucky coincidence it happened at the same time. Good luck everyone on finding what you re looking for!:cheer2:

It's nothing you did, the problem was with the site. The site is doing an upgrade this weekend!!

Actually, they just fixed the AP site. We can all view the Special Offers now! :cool1:
Thanks for trying to help out. :)

Is there an emoticon for tearing your hair out? Looks like I spoke too soon. Web site is down once again. Disney gave many of us, what, one evening of being able to see AP rates, then shut the whole thing down again? Ugh! It is past 7 am eastern and the site is still not available. Even Ebay as good as they are at "fixing" things that ain't broke, can keep their web site working for the most part.

I will never understand why a company like Disney has one of the worst web sites ever. :sad2: It is especially frustrating at this time for us AP holders because we have been waiting weeks and weeks for rates, then many of us could not access those rates. The resorts are filling up and it is getting harder to find availability.

I do enjoy the web site to check pricing and availability. I am the type that doesn't want to have to call for every little thing. I sure hope they fix it today.

I agree, you can't get into anything. You can't check AP rates, or even the free ddp rates. The whole reservation system is down.

Rumor is there is a MAJOR upgrade going on for 2008. Personally I'm Scared!!

I have been able to get in through my Passholder email ONLY... I just played with some dates and there are some changes to the process. Within the offer screen, they list each date and its nightly rate;
the total is a round number with a cross by it, which is identified below as an approximate price, with tax included.

For example

Sun, Aug 19 $295 per night
Mon, Aug 20 $295 per night
Tues, Aug 21 $295 per night

etc.

Once the new price structure takes effect, one can see how this will be essential for people to be able to understand their total.

I tried it the other night and I got 9/29 and 9/30 to come up at BWI, it was $540 for a standard view? It was thursday night I did this.

I am also scared because every time they "upgrade" we run the risk of not being able to access AP rates for days on end (or months as in my experience in 2005/2006).

Actually, COUSIN ORVILLE from Carousel of Progress runs the Disney web site.

I was able to get the AP rate at POP for my August trip. I did have to change my days by one day, but I am OK with that. $64/night August 10-22 :cool1:

My travel agent has not contacted me about these new rates! I have emailed her and asked her. If I don't hear from her should I just try on my own and make new reservations. Right now we have a AAA rate for POR, but since we are staying 11 nights it would be worth it to get an AP and get it for 94 a night.

finally got on the passholder site, few minutes ago.
cabins $169.00 per night plus tax
poly $249.00 per night gv,plus tax
they also showed the per night price, they where the same for the whole week sun thru sat.
weeks of 09/16 and 09/23

I was finally able to get in also...I really want SSR for $164 a night, but can't justify a 4th trip this year, just cause the price is right:lmao:

Do I have to have the AP at check in if I get an AP rate? Can I just get it there at the hotel?

We wanted Boardwalk for our long weekend trip but it would never come up when I checked the website. I called earlier and we got a deluxe concierge. It first came up then went away then came back. So if it does not show up on the website it could still come available over the phone.

Well they told me that they might ask for your AP when you check in. Now they have never asked for my AP, but I would still have it with you just in case. I don't think you can get the AP at the hotel. I think you have to either get it at one of the theme parks or the ticket and transportation center or downtown disney. I hope this helps.

Anyone using code FDV???? I cannot find it on the passholder website anywhere......the last CM I spoke with was sorta clueless and I wanted to verify some things on the passholder site, but cannot find that code or a place to put it in....help anyone???
