AP Rates for AFTER August 4th are...........

Has anyones new rate shown up on the "my vac" area yet? I am still showing aaa rate I had 2 days ago.

I would call, mine was listed on my reservation in the My Vacation area at least 30 minutes after I re-booked from our AAA rate.

Janet, nice to hear from you. Hope all is well on the west coast. I am open to have a "dis" meet anywhere. POR would be fun. A night with Bob.

Kinggoofy, I still can't access the "Special Offers" portion of the Passholder website (I've been sending messages to Disney about the problem since Wednesday when it first appeared). This means that a potential WDW summer vacation for my family is still in limbo. ~Arg!~

But if we do decide to go through with a WDW vacation, I will let you know. And if our vacations overlap, I’ll be expecting to see you at a Bob Jackson show over there at PO-RS. ;)

So glad everyone seems to have gotten the long-awaited AP rates. I booked the CR for 3 nights and got 80.00 off the rack rate. Better than full price, that's for sure.

So, this is my first AP. How do I activate it before checking in to the hotel? Walk over to Magic Kingdom and actually enter the park to activate the pass? And if my DH comes with me, he'll wait outside the MK so as not to use a day's admission (he doesn't have an AP).

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

You can activate anywhere. Any park, TTC, downtown disney and maybe the airport disney shop (used to). I have check in with a non activated pass, and just stopped again when we activated the pass. Most times they don't even ask to see it. But once in a while they read the date and everything you never know.

Well ive been unable to get through on the website either and im pretty sure my rates will be all gone now.

We were hoping to go to the Port Orleans FQ or Riverside on the 23rd/24th and 25th Sept.

Soooo fustrating! I find it hard to call from the UK with the time difference and cost etc. so i rely on the website but it was not working for me! Didnt get the email either!

It is situations like this that make it a good idea to use a travel agent that is well versed in Disney World vacations. I know a lot of people don't use them on these boards but I switched to a travel agent a few years ago when my job didn't allow me much time to be on the boards and constantly checking for discounts. I haven't looked back since. I hooked up with a great agency and I don't have to deal with the headaches anymore

I was at CR last month with a first time AP. They did not ask me for it at check in (but they could). I walked over to MK because my room was not ready yet. You have to go through Security to get to Guest Services but not enter the park. The line was pretty long but it moved quickly. I think for every person needing GS there was one or two extra people standing also. Once I got to the window, it took probably two minutes. Have fun. I loved CR.

I have also sent Disney an email concerning the website problem.

Joan1, excellent point.

I normally use Dreams Unlimited Travel (one of the sponsors of the DIS website). But when I'm in research mode, as I am now, I don't want to waste anyone's time but my own. Once I know what I want to do, then I will contact Dreams.

I also booked a room at AllStarMovies for 2 nights at the $64 a night rate :goodvibes

So now I have 2 trips booked with this new passholder rate  I have a vacation at AllStarMusic for 9 nights and 10 days at AllStarMusic and a vacation at AllStarMovies for 2 nights and 3 days at AllStarMovies :cloud9: little me will be going to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party when I stay at Movies :cloud9:

Thanks JudyKay53. Your excellent advice will help alot. I'm new to the boards. (Don't even know how to PM. )

I noticed you stayed at a rental house in Indian Creek. After my 3 days at CR, I'm renting a house for a week. Just curious, would you ever stay off-site again? This is our first trip with 4 y/o DD, so I'm sure we'll be exploring lots of options in the future. Thanks again!

I just checked too....Yes I got the same as you. CBR had availability in all type rooms. Also A/S Music Suites came up as available for $158 a night too. WL only had a delux room avail. Both A/S Sports and Music was available too.

Just curious... is anyone who is booking at AP rates for Aug-Sept considering SSR or OKW? As I scramble to find availability for my dates, it is sometimes difficult to get all my days at one resort without splitting them up, but I see these DVC resorts staring me in the face with pretty good rates and I just wonder how many of you have decided to pay AP rates for those resorts?

tink

Thanks for looking!!

We have 3 rooms so the King ones wouldnt work. Normally i would switch to CBR but we're taking my grandparents and picked the POFQ as my nan has a bad hip and cant walk too far!

Welcome to the boards. I sent you a pm so that I don't highjack this thread. You should get a pop up showing you have a pm or you can go to the top of the page where it shows you being logged in and click private message. Then click on the pm from me.

Could someone check Boardwalk for 9/28 and 9/29. We are going down for a long weekend to hit the Food and Wine Festival. Would greatly appreciate it.

Neither the BWI nor BWV will come up for those dates. I tried other places and there is TONs of availability everywhere else. You could get a standard room at BC for $528 for the 2 nights total. There is avail. at the Poly/garden room. Avail at mods too. POR and CBR for $211 standard room total for 2 nights. Not sure why nothing came up on the BW. It was strange. Maybe it's booked for a convention or just the start of F&W, but yet there are standard rooms at BC and YC. Avail at Cont. and GF too. Remember just because the computer shows this, there may be better choices through CRO. I use the website as a guide and a price checker and then I still call.
