We just moved our Universal portion of our trip up from April to January 29th so I am scrambling to get all my planning done.

I booked the AP rate at the RPH. It is 16 days until the trip. Should I buy my AP online or wait until I get there?

I also want to use my AP to get the discount on the tickets for the rest of my family. I know I have to buy those tickets there.

Is there a place at conceirge or a ticket counter at the RPH to buy/activate my AP and buy my discounted tickets or can I only do this at the ticket booth at the park? I will arrive at the RPH the night before we go to the parks. I don't want to have to spend my early morning entry time messing with tickets. I'd like to get it all done the night before.

Thanks!!

No...Annual passes must be activated at the parks along with purchasing AP discounted tickets. Those must be purchased at the gate too.

so is there an advantage to buying on line since you have to activate at the park anyway?

If you're trying to purchase tickets with the AP discount, you have to purchase them at the gates...not online. You have to show your AP to get the discount.

I understand. Thanks for the info. You have a lot of good input all around these boards. What i was wondering is if there is an advantage to ordering the AP on line. Since I see where you can purchase AP on line but it is only available for pick up at a kiosk.

I guess it would save a little bit of time if you went straight to the kiosk. There's never usually much of a line.

Now I am confused. I renewed our APs this week and inquired about the cost of a 7 day pass for our trip this July. The TM quoted me the price and warned me the price could change , up or down, if I did not purchase the ticket at that time over the phone. I was planning on calling back next month to purchase to give me a chance to pay off the AP renewals first.

You can purchase your AP discounted tickets over the phone if desired. They have all your AP information right there when you complete the transaction. Most people choose to wait and purchase them at the gate...especially if they are buying them for friends/family and will be there with them.
