AP question

just got AP in march 2015 for first time.
for renewal isn't it a 30 day window? when does new one start?
any tips/tricks to renewal?

The renewal window is up to 60 days before expiration and up to 30 days after. The expiration date remains the same no matter when you renew - if you renew before your pass expires, the old one stays good until expiration and then the new one rolls in. If you renew after expiration, the new one begins immediately and back-dates to the original expiration date.
