AP Question for 3 Year Old

I've got an Annual Pass question that I don't think I've seen answered before.

The last time we visited WDW as a family, DS was under 3 and didn't require a ticket. Next month we are going back and he will be over 3. DW and myself already have APs which expire in a few months. Is there any chance that WDW will sell us a pro-rated AP so that all of our tickets have the same renewal dates?

I've never heard of them ever doing a pro-rated AP. How about just getting a child's park hopper pass? Or are you going for a long trip? At about 8 days, the AP is cheaper than a PH.

Between now and May '05 when our (DW and I) passes expire, we'll spend at least 13 days in the parks. So, it only makes sense to get our son an AP as well.

It would just be easier for us to have all of our passes in sync. I don't know that I've even seen anyone ask this question before, so I thought I'd throw it out. I will at least ask at WDW before buying the pass. My gut tells me we'll just have to buy the AP for the full year, but it never hurts to ask.

We had the same situation this past October. Being Florida residents, we opted for the Play Four pass for my DS. But being in the parks for 13 days, you'll come out cheaper just buying the AP for him even though they won't pro-rate it. It does make it confusing at renewal time, I know. I have several friends around here that all the family's passes don't expire at the same time because of the kids. You can always actually renew them at the same time if it makes it easier - they'll just tack the extra time on to the pass that hasn't expired.
