So I got my AP online under the old price. :dance3: My question is how is the AP processed now at DL when we get there? Last time I did one we went to the processing place and they took a photo and made the AP card while you waited. What do they do now and where is AP processing now?

There are no longer "AP processing centers" in the parks. What you'll do is take your online voucher and you can...

a) Go straight to the gates. There you can get exchange the voucher for a ticket that acts like a normal ticket but will need to be upgraded to an AP sometime during the day at a ticket booth. At the ticket booth they'll take that temporary ticket and change it into an AP card. Then you'll have to reenter one of the parks with your new AP card and have a PhotoPass person take your picture.

b) Go straight to the ticket booths and skip the temporary ticket.

The temporary ticket works if you are in a rush in the morning and want to get in to the park and don't want to waste precious morning time getting your AP card.

Also if you are redeeming your AP voucher on a blockout day for that pass, they'll make you carry around a receipt saying that you got that AP that day because it will show up as blocked out at the gates once you get the actual card processed. If you have the receipt, they'll let you in.

Great information, just what I needed to know and could not find online anywhere.

Thank you

Question: So you are saying that the passes I bought online last week, I can redeem for entrance on a block out day? We bought DAP and the Saturday of our arrival is a block out day. Can I get into the park that day with my vouchers?

Yes. They allow you to activate on a block out day. :cool1:

The picture is not on the pass. The only place it shows up is when your pass is scanned at the turnstile.

In resturants and shops they match with your ID. Name and picture on DL.

I wanted to add one comment here. I agree with the person who said that if you're in a hurry, you should go straight to the turnstile and skip the ticket booth until later.

I went to the ticket booth to redeem the AP I bought online. It was a Wednesday afternoon (May 2nd, nothing special going on that day)...around 1:45PM. I had to wait about 5 minutes in line at the booth, no big deal. Then it was my turn. The CM at the booth first said that she couldn't help me because I needed to go to the turnstile first to get a paper ticket. Um...you are working at the "ticket" booth, aren't you? And you can't get me a ticket?! So she went to ask a supervisor, who said of course I could get everything taken care of at the ticket booth. But the CM was clueless, and each step of the way, she had to stop and call the supervisor back. It literally took the CM 25 minutes to get us our APs.

So, if you are in a hurry, go straight to the turnstile and come back to the ticket booth later. Or better yet, try to get a CM who knows what she's doing :)

But the bad part about not getting your photo taken ASAP for their records is that they will ask you to show ID every time you use your card at the gate included. So just get it done right there at the entrance
