AP prices?????????

my family is planning on going to disney dec 03 and july 04

so i think annual passes would be best for us-

does anyone know who offers the best prices????

I haven't seen them offered anywhere other than directly through Disney.

They are sold exclusively through Disney. You can only get them at TDS, from calling 407-WDISNEY, ordering online, at the Ocala information stop, at the gate or DTD at WDW, or at several select Disney outlet stores in the Orlando area including the two shops at Orlando airport.

AP's are the same price no matter where you buy them. There is no advance purchase discount on them.

It has been my experience that they do price increases on them at least once a year. If you buy it now you can activate it when you need it. Unfortuantely I did not get to do this when I purchased mine in July and I think the price had gone up. Call your local Disney store and they will advise you when there will be a price increace. If you you know about a year in advance that you will buy one I try to space them out since they are close to 400 each for the non preimium pass. I do not know what the premium price is but if you plan to go at least twice then the AP is the only way to go . I found that we save about 300.00 using it.

If you have a Disney Club card, you can save $20 on each Premium Annual Pass.

If you have a Disney Visa and buy the passes at The Disney Store, you will get double reward dollars.

Check before you buy your AP regarding Activation.
I thought they changed the system so that your AP is activated the first day you buy it and not the first time you use it at the parks.
If that is so then you might want to wait and get your AP at the parks.
You can buy your AP at the gates before entering each park, at guest Relations at the TTC, MK, Epcot, International Gateway, MGM and AK. You can also pick up your AP at guest Relations at DTD.
IF you have a Disney Club Card you will get a discount. They don't give discounts toward an AP for anything else. I tried my DVC card but it is not accepted.
IF you are a CM you must get your AP at the main CM store. The only reason I know this is I was with a friend who wanted to renew and they told her at Guest Relations she had to pay full price. Peggie

Your first AP is not activated until you use it no matter when you purchase it. When you renew for the discount then it is active immediately. (Do to this I have in the past just let mine expire and skipped the renewal discount if it was going to be several months between uses.)

If it makes you feel any better - AP's were last increased in September 2002. Prior to that one, they were last raised in January 2001.

Just to make sure everyone is on the same page here:

Any new AP/PAP purchased in person at WDW will be active when you purchase it. No voucher is involved. It starts the day you buy it.

Any new AP purchased at TDS, by phone from 407-WDISNEY, or from the Disney web site will get a voucher. The year on the AP starts on the day that the voucher is exchanged at Guest Relations at WDW. It doesn't matter when you actually use it to go into a park.

If you are an active or retired military member of DoD government employee, you can purchase discounted APs from the Shades of Green ticket office as well.

Can anyone tell me if you get the Disney Club discount on top of the discounted renewal price? This might make a difference in whether I renue or just wait and buy another AP on our next trip.

The AP renewal price for a DC member is $339.74 adult/$288.62 child. Remember that you will only be able to get this price for about another 11 weeks until DC goes away.

sorry dumb question ..is TDs the disney store , as in the local mall disney store or only online or call in ( every time I changed my ressies they tried to sell me one!)
