AP Passes

I'm going to DW with my Mom in May and staying for 6 nights, I have one day left on my hopper. I would also like to book a stay for late Nov early Dec with my DS for a week long stay. Would I benefit from a AP? And if I could go back next May would that be when the AP expired or would it expire on the date I actually bought it? Thanks!

Your AP will expire on the day that you purchased it. If you plan on visiting WDW more then just once a year and you know your going to visiting the parks i'd say for more then 10 days during all of your visits, it would be more economical to purchase an AP. If your staying onsite, you may be able to get some discounts with an AP.

I agree with OP, get an AP. Save the one hopper day for another time (or for DS depending on age)

AP will also gie you some dining discounts in Epcot.

just to clarify: your AP will expire 1 year from the date that you first activate(go to a park) it. I.e. if you first use the AP on May 10th, 2003...it will expire May 10th, 2004...hope this helps....ps: if you're planning on spending more than 9 days total in the parks over that 365 day period, it will be a great deal for you.

The above scenario assumes that you purchased the AP voucher prior to arriving at WDW. If you purchase the AP while at WDW or if you apply the leftover value of the old park hopper to an AP at Guest Relations, your AP's one year will start the day you purchase it.

Actual entry into a park is not a criteria in either case.

This is a good site that will tell you all about breaking even on the annual passes. It includes all the prices, etc of all the tickets. You don't want to forget the possibilities of having AP rates for the hotels to save money and the 10% discount at world of disney. You don't get those discounts with PH passes.
