AP Pass Increase

I like the change. I like that now I can get all my photos from each visit without spending $169 per visit. It's totally worth the increase to me.

See, I agree. I'm hoping we can upgrade for not too much - we just purchased APs like 3 weeks ago. If we knew about this, we probably would have waited to get the new passes - because I would want MM for our week long May trip, and it would be nice to not have to pay the $169 every single time I want the photopass pictures. Guess we'll see what their policy is for this.

I definitely feel like it's a good deal for some people, even with the price increase. Obviously others are upset, and I also understand that. It's got to be frustrating if you aren't interested in MM that now it's basically required.

From what I have read you should be able to, depending on which AP you want will determine how much more it will be. I will find out for sure when we go next month.

You can definitely upgrade your former pass type to one of the new pass types by paying the difference between the two.

Plus if each person is an AP holder in your family, you pay for it multiple times. Whereas before, you paid for one.

Yeah, that's what I figured - we'll have to weigh our options and see if it's worth it

That's true - for families or larger groups that could really be an issue.

Same is true for the parking. If I had the seasonal pass, I didn't get free parking. But now, we all pay for the "free" parking.
Our Disney days are numbered. These huge price increases every year, sometimes twice a year, are just getting out of control. There may be some people who don't mind shelling it out, but we do.
I feel a sad end to our beloved family trips to WDW is at hand.
I will definitely be looking into alternate vacation destinations.
