Ok, booked room for 2/11/04-7 night stay w/ AP rate(great deal at GF). I know I need to have AP at check-in. When and how do I purchase, pickup, activate? Thanks

There's a few ways you can take care of this:

1.) Pre-purchase your AP at a Disney Store or online. This will only get you a voucher, which many people report being able to use to get the AP rate at checkin.

2.) I've heard that you can buy an ACTIVATED AP at the airport Disney Store. (Where you can buy other admission media) I'm not too sure about this option, so someone else will have to speak more definitively about it. (And I hope they will...I need an AP and was condidering this option)

3.) At any guest relations window, or ticket booth. There is a guest services location at each of the 4 theme parks, as well as at Downtown Disney. There's a location in the Marketplace, and one on the West Side. I don't know where the one in the Marketplace is, but the one on the West Side is at the base of the tower that says "West Side" on the eastern most side of West End. (Near the entrances to Pleasure Island)

If you buy on property, I believe they sell you the activated AP, and NOT the voucher.

i contacted disney about this issue and they stated that you could not check in with the voucher. they require guests to leave their lugguage and travel to guest relations at downtown disney or one of the parks and trade the voucher in for an actual pass and then return to check in. though, others on these boards have said that they have no problem checking in with the voucher. if you go this route, just be prepared to travel to downton disney if they ask you.

I wish someone could tell us if you can activate the voucher at the resort............ycch to have to go to the park or downtown
not like its that far,,,,,,,,but once i get on disney property I lose all my patience.....I get so excited to start....get in the room and change and go to the park.......disney makes me like a six yr old

You cannot activate the voucher at the resort. Last year we activated our passes at Epcot late afternoon/early evening. No line.
When we stayed at CBR last August, I was not even asked for my pass, however the pass had been active since February.
Hope this helps.

I bought my first AP at one of the Disney Stores in airport, already activated. I was able to use my Disney Club discount both there and on APs purchased at my local Disney Store. We activated them at Epcot.

The Marketplace Disney Guest Relations is tucked away near the World of Disney store, marked by signs on street posts.

I've only been asked once to show the AP, and the CM said "that's ok" long before I got it out.

I would buy the AP at the Disney Store. If you have a Disney Visa you will get triple reward dollars on any Disney Store purchase over 50 dollars for the month of Dec.

I think that buying the ap at the airport already activated would be good idea.........another question about ap.....can the ap be used for the dreamaker package../...or just the room? because there is a code at mousesavers for the dream maker package zxvs ...

Dream Maker includes UPH park tix plus room. It is not for AP holders (you'd pay double for park tickets if you did).
