AP Holders - How much did you save this summer?

We're thinking of booking a trip for next July, hopefully in the Poly, and are considering buying one AP (with our weird combination of existing PHP's, this will only cost about $50 more). I'm well aware that AP rates are not guaranteed, but historically, how much have you saved during the summer, say 2003 and 2002? (Please do not factor in the FTP...I'm assuming there won't be one next year...if there is, all the better!)

We stayed 9 nights at POR For $84 a night compared to the rack rate of $144 per night. We "saved" $540 total by booking with an AP rate over the rack rate. This was for a moderate though, not a deluxe.
