AP Holders...EE preview question....

Hello fellow AP holders!
This is my first experience as an AP holder. My husband and I are unable to make it for the AP preview of Expedition Everest in January. Is it typical for additional preview dates to be made available to AP holders before the official opening of a new ride? I am just sick that I cannot reschedule the class I have that week. Could any of you give me some insight or ideas? How were things done with Soarin as far as AP previews went?

No, they usually only do one AP/DVC preview for each attraction but that does not mean the ride might not be open when you come. After the previews they generally start a "soft opening". This is a time when they get the cast and the ride ready for the grand opening by allowing guests to ride periodically throughout the day. There is no schedule for these so you can't find out in advance, but what happens is they will be open for a few hours a day just to get people on. They can open at anytime, they can close at anytime, this is when they work out the kinks without being obligated to be open. So just keep your eyes and ears open during your trip and you might get lucky.

I've been wondering this too. We are DVC members/AP holders and really hoping to ride EE when we're there in February.
