hi ... i've been away
did i read this right?
the new incentive at SSR is 2-APs ... can anyone confirm?
what is the minumim purchase for that perk?
is it just for people who come off the waiting list?
thanks for any info

Yes it's true. 130 point minimum. My understanding it is for anyone looking to add 130 points.

UH?!? Did they change the min to buy in to 130 instead of 150?

Or is this for existing DVC members only?

I was told this was for add-ons. So it would be for existing DVC owners.

I hope this isn't the new AP perk we heard rumored awhile back! That would make it an awfully exclusive group to get the APs, and leave us "oldtimers" out.

UH again?!?

Is this a one year AP or for longer?

I wonder if it starts when you buy or when you want to activate it?

I was wondering about that, myself. Decided (more like rationalized, LOL) that it wasn't since the survey was asking about discounts, not incentives for DVC add on purchases.

If I'm wrong, don't anyone tell me! :p :teeth:

Hope springs eternal!

Shan,

My understanding (based only what I've read on other threads here) is that it is two (2) one-year AP vouchers.

Yes, it is 2 one year ap vouchers, you can activate them now or in 3 years then they will be good for a year.

It is for current members, add ons only of 130 pts or more at ssr only.

I just checked its up on the member site in the members only section, you have to sign in.

APs are about $403 so 2 = $806 on 130 points it's like getting $6.20 a point off. This must be a new form of MBs, like giving current members a little price reduction.

You know, Carol, it might just be a reason for optimism. At least now we know that there's a business pipeline for APs between DVC and Theme Park Admissions; a foot in the door, so to speak....

Can these AP's be combined with the $5/$10 off per point too?

hmmm.... This may require an add on!

To get all the details.......

2 Adult AP Vouchers You can use to renew a current AP or get a new one.
OR 1 Week 2bdr II Exchange (Must be used by March 30, 2006)

130 point add-ons or more.

They have a limited number.

You still have the option of taking the $5 off and keeping 2004 points or taking $10 off and receiving points in your 05 UY. No payments No Interest No dues until you get your points.

With the $10 off Im looking at $79 ppt if I include the AP's.

No payments No Interest No dues until you get your points

This is incorrect. They told us the same thing when we bouht SSR. If you finance through DVC you start to make payments and pay interest as soon as you close. One of the reasons we added on was we thought we had until Spt 04 to start payments, we knew we would have the money to payoff by then. But they started automatic payments in June and then did 2 of them because they closed late. So make sure youget everything in writing and verify the payment situation if you finance through DVC.

Everything worked out fine because we had the money put aside but it may have been disaster if we didn't plan ahead

Judy

There were several of us that purchased DVC during the pre-sale incentive, and none of us paid interest, payments or dues until the stated time, which was April 04 (or around that time) Many put the balance on a rewards card and paid it off before the interest and payments kicked in. This was through DVC financing.

A pre-sale incentive is different as those points are not in inventory and cannot be used in Phase I until Phase II is declared.

It may be incorrect for your situation, but not an incorrect statement as to what DVC is currently offering. Don't want to be nit picky and Im sorry that you had that experience, but this is the current offering.

My UY is March. My guide stated that I will not have to pay interest, payments or dues until March 05. Not sure how later UY's will be affected as I didnt ask.
The contracts and POS they send out do state when payments are due.
