AP event for ROTM: how crowded and what will it be like?

For those who have gone to prior AP events at UO, how crowded will it get for the mummy AP event? I have a trip planned for the weekend before, but I would hate to miss out on this, but if its makes both parks wall to wall people, then maybe it is worth skipping. The way I understand it, US will be kept open late for the whole weekend-does anyone know anything more or can anyone say how it worked in the past?

thanks for the help!

From the way it reads, it would seem that the park is not being kept open for everyone, but will be re-opening just for AP holders and their guests from 8 p.m. to midnight.

sorry I wasn't more precise, but that is my understand too, that AP holders and their guests will be allowed to stay in the park from 8-midnight, fri., sat. and sun.

I just made a new hotel reservation in case I can talk my girlfriend into switching trip dates, and the PBH is sold out, no discounts left at HRH, and hardly anything left at RPR

my fear is it will be so crowded that its really not worth it.

One frame of reference I had is the Shrek AP preview night (first night) I was in the first group that went in (we waited in the park before it closed the first time), but walking out the line for shrek literally went to the Nascar Cafe outside the park... and it was raining.

The days after that weren't so bad, however. But still crowded.

I wonder what the lines will be like on Tues 5/25 and the following days. That's when I will be there. I suspect not as bad as opening weekend, but still quite long.

were can I find more info on the AP mummy event. If it is the weekend of the 21st yeah for me but would like more info please

Kim,

they are supposed to be sending out mailers to all AP holders, and other have already received theirs. I would call the AP phone line and ask them directly, its easier.

What is the number for AP holders. We have APs, but have not activated them yet? thanks.

The AP event is supposed to go from 8-12. Guests will be charged $20. The rest of USF will also be open, correct, or will it just be a selection of rides?

The info I saw was only for Friday, May 21. I didn't see any reference to the rest of the weekend.

The number is
866-pass-4-fun

From what the people at the AP number just told me, you can only go to the night you rsvp for (but I can't see how they would be able to police this, as surely most people won't rsvp and what are they going to do, turn away AP members who show up on the wrong night?)

also, the only rides that will be open in addition to mummy are shrek, twister, and jimmy neutron, so basically think the main corridor and I would guess the rest of the park would be roped off.

It was very easy. Told them what day I would be there and how many would be in my party. They said since I had PAP and kids had AP that my kids would get in free to this event. Yeah me! Only costs if your guests do not have a PAP or AP. They said even though all my passes were not activated yet, I could still RSVP. WooHoo!

P.S. Can you see me doin the happy dance?
