AP Discount

You can get an AP discount applied without the voucher and buy it once you're there if you like. They may or may not ask you to show it. Keep in mind though that if you want to do FP+ selections at 60 days out you will need your AP to link it to. I ordered mine as "will call" and used the confirmation number to link the ticket with.

Thanks. Yes, I realize that I need it in time for FP+ selections. But I know so little about room discounts that I wasn't sure it made sense to buy an AP only to find that our room category wasn't offered...then the AP would have been a waste (although I'm leaning towards it anyway for TIW).

I currently have 3 reservations due to the WL pool issue. I want to see what's eligible for room discounts--both AP and general public-before deciding what to do. Thanks again.

No problem! I'm there then in an AKL standard too haha!

So, on the main resorts page is shows a discount, but the rate on the AKL page even with passholder rate selected says $339 non discounted. HOWEVER, when I added it to cart and then went back, the price did re-update and show $220.35 for standard (which is what I paid so that is right). So it's there but you may need to mess with it to get it to show (yay glitchy Disney!)

same thing happening, shows no discount but if you add to cart then use the back button to get back to the page the discount shows up. Weird.

This happened to me, too. I could only get the passholder room rates to show one time. Every other time it showed the standard rate. I had a POR preferred room booked and yesterday I called to apply the AP discount and they told me everything but preferred was available and there was LOTS of availability (standard view/garden/river/pool/all royal room views.) Today I went on the website around 9ish and it said all rooms were sold out for standard rate/packages/general public discount/passholder discount/all views - EVERYTHING. I called to switch to a River View room and the person on the phone said they did not have any availability either. I was like How do you go from LOTS of availability to NOTHING in less than 24 hrs. Well around 11ish I went online and there popped up all the availability I saw yesterday. I called and was able to switch no problem. Their systems are very glitchy.

I'm confused... can you "apply" a Passholder discount to an existing reservation? I booked under the late summer offer but the passholder room is a greater % off but looks like no room`s available.

You (or your travel agent) have to call to see if the discount is offered on the room you booked and still available. If not they can tell you what's available and you can switch.

You can only "apply" a passholder discount to an existing reservation if the room type is available. I wouldn't go by what the website says because they are having tons of glitches. EX: Long story short, I had POR Preferred room booked under GP discount. I called to apply the AP discount but preferred room wasn't available. I ended up upgrading to River View room w/a request to be closest to the main building for 61 dollars less. I would definitely call and ask to see what's available.

IDK if you're having the same problem as me but the website wasn't showing me the actually AP rate. When I clicked on that category it showed the standard room rates. I would call to verify if I were you. For me, POR Sep 13-20, the AP discount was cheaper than general public

Last year the rates were released September 3rd...but this year they are releasing rates earlier than they were in 2013 (for example, the late summer promo was released in mid-july last year) so i'm crossing my fingers and hope we see them soon!

Just in case anyone is interested, there are some Garden view rooms at POR available with the AP discount for the first two weeks of August.
Saved another $100!!!

What do we think they might be for mid-November? If the general public discount was up to 30% on Deluxe, do we think we'll get 35%?
