AP Discount

Generally, I add the no-tickets AP dining plan to my reservations. Can I still do that if I book a public/DV room-only offer? Or would I have to wait until the AP discount comes out to add it, and just go without it if that doesn't happen?

The DV offers are general public offers whereas to get the DP without tickets you HAVE to book it as an AP tickletless package. You'd need to choose one or the other. If you want dining you'll need to put tickets on any general public offers.

I'd book with the DV offer and then change to an AP package if it comes out.

That was my assumption with regard to the dining. Thanks for the info. :)

Ok so now that GP discounts have come out. bring on the AP ones!!!!!

Any idea when the AP discount will be released??

Room only doesn't save us much...any history on how the room only VS Annual pass rates compare????

Okay, so AAA discount was better than RO for GP. So I'm all in for AP discounts....come on Disney reward your beloved APs, please!!!

OK, so just to clarify...No AP discounts have been released for October or December, right? I was told by a cast member to call back on Aug 1st to see if discounts were available, and every Disney line I try to call is busy.:confused3
TIA!

I booked a new reservation online this morning through the room only discount link. We are also Annual Pass holders. My discount was 30 percent at Boardwalk Inn. If an Annual pass discount becomes available, it's likely only to be at 35 percent, correct? That will save me another $100. At that point, do I just call and ask them to apply the discount? I have never tried to use an AP discount before!

Thanks

Yes, just call and if the discount is available for your stay, they will apply it.

The only thing avail right now is up to September 26 for passholders

jennyjinx3,

There is a fall ate of up to 30% off room only available right now.

You could try for that and change to the AP rate later is it better.

We just scored 30% off our ressies for November!!

Wheee!

Oh thank you for thinking of me, I did take advantage for our stay at POR, but only saved $65!:rotfl: Hey it's still something right? Just hoping that maybe the AP rate would be a bit better. If not I will be forced to upgrade!

That's what we did. It was about $120 to upgrade from the crappy POR discount. We went from Royal Room (Garden View) to AKL (standard) for 6 nights. Once AP rates come out, I will consider going back to POR if the discount is decent, or we will just keep what we have and hope to save another $75-$100.

Oh what an awesome move! :goodvibesI would love for us to try out AKL, but with 3 kiddos, we would have to get 2 rooms, which is not in the budget. I will not give up hope for something a wee bit better!!pixiedust:
