AP Discount

No pool view was available for my June 9 - 14 AKL stay so I didn't downgrade to Standard. I would have saved about $100+ but not worth it if I am looking at the parking lot all week

I know $100 is $100, but we've stayed pool view and I loved it. I wouldn't have changed either ;).

I just spoke to an agent and he told me no Poly AP rates for our three dates (June 7-10) Could this be right?

Depending on the room category, it is possible there isn't any availability. Sometimes there are only a few rooms included in a promo and it can be hard to get the discount on certain room types.

Quick question: I tried to book the Poly for 8/14 and 8/15. Showed no availability at AP rate. Plugged in 8/14-8/17 and it showed a rate of $282 for 8/14 and 8/15 and rack rate for 8/16. Anyone else have that issue?? Doesn't make sense to me.

I'm not sure why it happens, but sometimes adding nights can show availability when it showed no availability for less nights. With that said, I've never seen it happen when combining a promo with rack rate. If you only want 8/14 & 8/15, book through 8/17 and then call back and cancel the night you don't need.

Thanks so much for posting that AP rates are out.

It's decision time for us. I can book a GV or SV room at the Beach Club with the GP promo, but not the AP. Only a WV is available our week and I am not booking that. Or I could save $1000 and move to CSR using the AP discount.

Decisions, Decisions...

If CR interests you, I found some great rates for our dates...

I am pretty sure I know the answer.....

Are the Little Mermaid rooms at AoA included with the AP rates? Our APs expired 2 weeks ago and we are not renewing until August.

No :(

What are your dates? For Aug 14-16, I got a rate of $354 for WL CL but then when I plugged in some random dates in June, it jumped to $376. I would be happy to check specific dates for you :)

July 18-27 WL/CL

Thank u SO much!!:)

Woo HOO!! just saved $40 by changing to AP discount but also was upgraded to a garden view instead of std at POR-. We are going 7-27 to 8-4 at POR-R and then moving over to DVC at AKL till 8-9. Orginally booked under AAA but then changed when spring promo came out and now again w/ AP discount. liking the upgrade from std to garden view. We have never stayed at POR-R before. we have 2 connecting rooms.

On the other hand we usually stay all DVC and this one we decided to split stay w/ a mod. checking the AP rate-- OKW/SSR 2bdrm is cheaper than DVC cash rate. It would cost us $850 more to jump to a 2bdrm villa for those 8 nights. So just under $110 a night more. So sitting here deciding do we take the plunge. Full kitchen and W/D are big perks. But $850 could also be food $$. Hmmm need to sleep on it.

soo happy I was checking the website. Didn't know the promo came out today.

Thank u for checking!!!!

Sure! I love WL/CL....we stayed there on our Honeymoon and look forward to doing so again but we have a VERY active 2 yr old son and my DH fears he would climb right over the railings in the lounge and find a shortcut to the lobby :rotfl2:

Awwww

My son's first trip to WDW and WL was when he was two. It's the only WDW resort he knows!:rotfl: he 'refuses' to stay anywhere else! ;) Last trip we were lucky enough to stay CL just so he could have food available whenever he 'needed' (intense XC runner). Now at 17, HE wanted to go back one last time while he is still a kid...

Enjoy your son! Time DOES go by sooo fast!

Thank you again!!

fyi, if you don't have an AP in hand yet, all you need to do is call and tell them and they'll give you the current AP rates.

I was underwhelmed with prices for my dates.:bitelip:The last orbitz discount far better for values and moderates. Hoping that the next round i need (January, 2014) will be a better value but not holding breath since I need marathon weekend and again before MLK.

To the DTD Hilton (then onsite @ U) I go:goodvibes

Thanks! We are celebrating DS's 3rd birthday in August and will be doing a split stay but we are firm in our plans for the last 3 nights, which will be at the VWL. So excited! :cool1:

I DVR'd the Great Hotels episode where Samantha Brown goes to the WL and the kids watch it over and over.....

Is Wilderness Lodge included in the 35% off? I know sometimes that and AKL are a lower rate than the other Deluxes :confused3 So, anyone that can share this info, it would be great! Actually trying to work some number possibilities for the fall! LOL Assuming they run similar discounts...

yes.. WL had rooms included.Right now Woods view is 243 for August

I don't know. I don't have my APs yet, so had to call, and the CM I talked to knew the new rate had come out this morning, looked it up and told me it was the same as I already had.

We have POP for the end of July. We did have it for 15% off with the Summer Savings Offer. I just called and got it for 20 % off with the AP discount. It saved us about $67 more for our 8 night trip. Not a whole lot but worth the call, for sure.

For this one it was $915. Let me know if I can help with anything else.

Thank you!

I am so confused on where to stay. :crazy2:
We absolutely LOVE POP and kids would be fine there but I really want to try a different resort this time. But for the price, we may stick with POP. Esp. since we hardly spend any time at the resort. :)

I'm so excited! Yesterday I saw this post and saved another $100.00 on our Poly stay this July. Saving money is great!
