AP discount with HoJo

So wondering if someone can help with a situation I was thinking about.
We have a HoJo kids suite reserved for our trip with the Dis discount. I am hoping to bank on Sept Ent Rates but I know that it's not guaranteed.
We are most likely upgrading our PHs to APs when we are in DL.
SO...if the Ent Rate does not show for our dates, how can the AP discount be applied once we are at the hotel, even if it's 2 or 3 days into our stay?
Will it be only for the days after we have upgraded or could we get it applied to the first days of our stay???
TIA

When I asked this question in an e-mail to Hojos a couple of months ago, Lorealle responded that I could show my AP to the desk clerk once I bought it and would get the discount on all remaining nights of my stay. So, for example, if we got our AP on day 2, we could get the discount starting that night but not the night we had already stayed. I never ended up testing this since we ended up booking under the entertainment card rate code since I already had an entertainment card anyway.

I have the AP rate booked for Oct and when I made the reservation I told them that we will be purchasing our APs two days into our trip. I was told that as long as we show them our AP before we check out that would be fine, if not they will adjust us back to the regular rate. So, I would check now if you KNOW you are getting AP's and reserve it with the AP rate so you can get it for all of your nights.

That's not the policy that I've seen Lorealle post on the HOJO message boards, and it's not the one I was told about when I booked my ressie for this summer.

I was told the same thing as Longtimedisneylurker.

I was told that the AP had to be shown at check IN for all days to qualify. Or you show it once you have it. Once it is shown, the remaining days on your ressie may qualify, but not the days before.

This is definitely something that needs to be clarified.

I have now confirmed it with the front desk AND in house reservations (twice), once when I booked, and I just got off the phone with Jessica at in house reservations and her exact words were, "yep, that's fine". So I'm feeling pretty good about it. ;) Plus I have everyones names and the date I spoke to them written down with our confirmation number so if we are told anything different at check in there will be quite a comotion in the lobby with management and myself.

This is what we did in February. We had the AP rate booked but didn't have our AP's yet. They told us we could just show it when we checked out.

BTW, Jessica is great!

Have a great trip.

Hi all-

I'm new to the Disboards. We're planning to take our 5-year old and 3-year old to Disneyland in early November, and I'm considering a HoJo kid suite. I know HoJo offers a discount to Mousesavers newsletter subscribers and am also going to check the Entertainment rate, but I'd not heard about this AP discount before I saw it here.....is it Annual Pass holders?

Thanks for the input. I suppose I will also call and maybe they can make a note of it with my reservation. It seems like a simple enough question so it's weird that there are conflicting answers...:confused3
I do have some time for the EntRate to pop-up still, and we aren't 100% sure on the AP upgrade (still back-n-forth with reasons and looking at next years plans) :rolleyes1 so I suppose there is no rush.
:goodvibes

I was also told by two HoJo's employees that the AP rate would be applied to my whole stay even if I purchased the APs later in our stay. We will be doing this when we go this December. I think that the policy recently changed when the AP rates were enhanced to match the Ent rates a couple of months ago, so it's possible that the other info is outdated.
