AP Discount question (Teen passholder)

Hi All! New to this site & 8 years since last trip to WDW. DH & I are planning a trip for the family end of May/beginning of June. Our oldest D has just been asked to go with her best friend during Winter Break (she is 18.) I've been doing the ticket math & it looks like it will be just about the same price for us to buy 2 sets of 5 day park hopper passes vs. an AP. If D has an AP, but I book the room, will we be able to get the AP discount?

Yes, since she is 18 her AP will qualify for room discounts. Only adult AP holders are eligible for a room discount. She'll have to be staying in the room, but does not have to be the one to book it.
