Now that the DDE can be purchased at Guest Services, has anyone done the DVC discounted AP via "will call" and then got the DDE card at guest services when you picked up the AP??
Or can I actually get the DVC discount if I get the AP at Guest Services and forget will call altogether??

You do not need to deal with the will call at all. Just have your ID and Blue Member card ready and you can purchase all at once. Just double check to be certain that they did apply the DVC discount.

Yes, we did just that last month. I did take our expired APs with me. It seems to speed the process up as all the personal info is encoded on the old passes. And I did it for all three passes I was renewing when the rest of the crew was still a few minutes behind me.

But I made a mistake at the IG. I had never noticed that one booth was tickets only. I told the gal I wanted to do both as I handed her all the stuff. She told me I needed to go to the GS booth on the left to get DDE. I would have preferred to just move on over there but she wanted to do the AP part.

Thanks!! I will then just get the DDE and the DVC Discounted AP when we arrive--usually like going to guest services at DD--seems less of a line. And I will have both "expired" cards with me!!
Must say it beats doing things by mail..

Just to add a little input to this thread. My annual pass and DDE card both expired in December 2007. In November of 2007 I received a renewal notice for my DDE card. I filled it out, enclosed my check for $65. and sent it in. A couple of weeks later I received a new DDE card good for another year. And that is without having an annual pass.

So now I have a DDE card and no annual pass.
