Am I the only one shocked that the Disney Visa and General Public codes are cheaper than the AP codes? Using the Disney Visa I was able to get AS Sports for eight nights (Dec 8th-16th) for $515.47. This includes a $75.62 one day MYW ticket, so the room portion of the ressie is $439.85. When I called yesterday to get the AP discount on the same room, I was quoted $530.96 (and of course this did not include that $75.62 MYW ticket). The General Public code released this morning is for the same price as the Disney Visa (yeah, I called to get another quote). So for the room portion the Visa/General Public code is $439.85 compared to the AP code rate of $533.36. Even buying the required $75.62 one day park ticket (which I don't need) the Visa/General Public code is still cheaper. I asked the CMs about it both yesterday and again this morning and they both said yeah, the CMs had noticed it too and wondered why as AP codes are usually better than General Public Codes. Why bother booking using an AP
?
Plus with the Visa/General Public codes I'll be allowed to add the DDP, if I want.
