AP Bridging and Expiration Question

I have a question about annual passes. We bought 10 day park hoppers in Jan. We did not use them until that past Sat for the first time. We had them bridged to DVC AP. The lady told us they are good for a year from the day we used/upgraded them. However on MDE it says they expire in Jan of 2015? I am really confused because we were planning on using them in Nov and March of next year. So when do they really expire? I thought they were to be for an entire year.

They are SUPPOSED to be dated to the same date that you first USED
the original tickets this year... But, ending a YEAR from that date.

So, they should be dated to be good through May 17, 2015.

Go to another Guest Relations have that that date CHANGED!
(Your update info will be in the central computer, so the CM will be able to see the right info.)

We are home now it was a short trip. Should I call member services?

If they can't fix it in your absence, they can set up a FILE in your name and take care of the change when you next return to WDW.

We bought DVC annual passes. Do I just take the card to guest relations outside the magic kingdom to activate them?

The exact same thing happened to us. We upgraded our 10 day tickets to AP and they back dated to when we purchased them months earlier, but had NOT started to use them. We noticed it in the park on a return trip and went to guest services. They fixed it right then and there for us. It was no problem at all. Keep us posted on how it goes for you. Hoping smoothly! :goodvibes

Any Guest Relations or ticket booth outside any WDW park, or at TTC or at DTD can issue you the "live" AP.

I've had the same problem. I called last week and the CM said fixed it. I checked MDE and it now has 2 passes under my name, both with the wrong expiration date. I called again today and the CM checked my MDE account and said the correct information is there. I deleted my MDE app and reloaded it. It still has the wrong date and still has 2 different passes listed.

I'm going to check my account on my computer when I get home. Hopefully it's right in my account and just wrong on the app- although that's annoying because I'd like to make fp reservations when our date opens up.

Seems they make errors like this often. They do so on Tables in wonderland as well. Also, with bridging the price. Disney was so easy back in the day when they allowed ticket upgrades to AP up to 1 year of the first use! We did this so many times in from the 1980s through the last time it was allowed in 2001!

Happened to me also. Talked to ticketing, created file, sent copies of stuff, and still had to go to guest relations in the park to have it fixed. Scary part was the CM at guest relations said, "Well, the CM must have written the wrong expiration date on your AP so MDE is correct." Um....no! She did eventually fix it though.

Yes, but just such a waste of time. Back when everything was stamped and a photo ID for AP no problems. Now with computers, problems. Go figure.

I'm on my laptop now and all of our APs are in MDE with the correct expiration date. I don't know how to fix it in the app though. The CM on the phone didn't know either :(

Does anyone know the tax percentage for tickets? I am thinking they changed me way to much to bridge our tickets. She changed us around $280 to bridge two 10 hoppers to two DVC AP which seems really high. It should have been around $200 total.

The 10 day PH is $440.91 with tax. The DVC AP is $485 ( that's with no tax). So it seems like you should have only paid about $45 plus a bit in tax for each ticket. Not $280.

Did you use the tickets before you upgraded? ( never mind I reread your original post and see you did) Did you upgrade to a Premium AP vs. a regular one?

Sounds like you were overcharged.

Agreed.

Same "solution" as before...

Well I got no where today. I was told because I bridged a 10 day hopper pass that I paid 375 for and Disney sold them for 373. That I have to pay an extra $60 to bridge them because of price increase. However there was not a $60 dollar increase so I am out if the money from what it sounds like. I can email the parks and see of they will reply and adjust the price. Such BS. I wish they would have told me this when I first inquired about bridging tickets since we could get our DVC aps because we did have our cards for months.

I had amazing luck with a young guy at the guest relations outside the park at MK yesterday. I can't remember his name but he knew exactly what to do. I recommend trying there.
