AP blocked Saturday dates in June

Trying to plan our dates. Do you think having this date blocked (June 10 and it's a grad night) for AP's will make crowds lower or should we go to parks Tuesday - Friday? Thanks!

Given all the recent crowd patterns, I wish I had been able to book a weekend trip instead of my upcoming mid-week trips.

Are you thinking of going either Tue to Fri or Wed to Sat? I noticed that SoCal and SoCal Select are also blocked on Friday (Deluxe, Sig, Sig Plus, and Premier are valid). At this point, I feel like guessing crowds is a shot in the dark. It does seem like AP blockouts impact crowds, along with tiered pricing (all are "regular" days) and any special event ticket pricing (especially the last few days when the tickets are valid). Given how things seem to be going (and that early June isn't quite into the heart of the summer tourist season), I'd probably opt for Wed to Sat.

I would avoid a grad night whenever possible. Not just higher crowds, but large groups of high school kids walking around, blocking pathways, cutting lines (sending 1-2 people in the line and then 5-6 others walking through to catch up), and single rider lines are just super blocked. I think that will more than make up for slightly lower AP crowds.

But at least your crowds for the first several days will be pretty low, so if Saturday is more convenient for you, you can always try, just accept it may be annoying. At least more of the grad night kids will be in DCA by the time of parade and fireworks.

It's the first 2 weeks of a new headliner and a new summer theme with several new offerings. I think the differences will be minute at best.
