AP Best Rate

In the midst of all the negativity about the AP Best Rate program, just wanted to let everyone know that I just called and easily changed my resort from the GF to the WL and even slightly changed my dates and was not charged the $50 change fee that everyone worries about, even though our room will now cost us about a 1/3 of what it was going to cost us. As soon as I hung up, I got online, and using the same reservation number that I had booked online, there were all my changes right there in front of me. So, all this to say, even if you change your dates and resort, you still get to keep the same reservation number and everything transpires very easily.

One other note: With the AP Best Rate program, Disney cannot have more than one night's deposit on the room (so you can't pre-pay any of it) so I am actually getting some money back from Disney so that my deposit reflects one night's room charge at WL. Go figure.

Wow! That's cool. Maybe they have reconsidered, or maybe you just got lucky. Either way, that's great!

I just called them about that fee...I was told that in the event I had to switch resorts (as of now my party is 4, but if DH comes, it will be 5) due to party size, I wouldn't be charged the fee. I still am leary on booking thru that web site....
