AP and free parking?

Looking for a little information on who in the car would need to be the preferred pass holder in order to get the free parking. Does it have to be the driver or just someone in the car?

I'd like to get my daughter the preferred pass and then 2 power passes for my wife and I. That way on days when just one of us goes with our daughter we would still get the free parking.

As Macraven said, it doesn't matter who in the car has the AP but you can only get free parking after the pass is activated. So your first visit will not be free but all future trips...for the duration of the pass...will be free.

Is the free parking just for the parks or for the onsite resorts also?

universal doesn't own the hotels onsite.

hotel parking is $17 + tax nightly
