AP activation question

We have purchased AP's for the first time and I'm wondering where we can get them activated the easiest. We are staying at the Swan and will be getting in late (flight gets in at 10 in Orlando) our first night. I think I've read that there is somewhere in DTD that stays open until 11:30 - is this still true and where is it? Alternatively - can they be activated at the back entrance to EPCOT - that's the way we usually enter the park - I'd hate to have to bus or drive to the front entrance just to get the AP's activated.
On our first morning my daughter and I will be heading into the park while my son and husband go fishing - can we activate their passes for them if they aren't there?
Thank you for your help - I know these questions have been answered before - but search isn't working right now.

Yes the DTD Guest services is open until 11:30.But by the time you get to the Swan you may not want to drive to DTD .
And the International Gateway into Epcot has a Guest services so you can do it there. ANd yes you can activate the passes even thought they are not with you. You might want to bring his ID just in case they ask but for the kids they just ask birthdays. My daughter was looking at the pins next door to GS in front of Epcot when I did hers and the cm did not ask me where she was. I also had a lady next to me doing 4 passes and she was the only one at the window. I know I had to show my ID. If they won't let you activate the passes, just have the missing people do it when they want to get into the park.
I know one trip to GS is the easiet but if it doesn't work just smile and tell hubby he needs to do it.

When are you going? I'm staying at BWV in MAy and can't wait to walk to Epcot and MGM instead of using the busses.

Have fun,
Lori

Hi!Difficult question! I've been a premium annual passholder for a no of yrs but have always activated it at Epcot. You usually have to go to the guest relations part at the right hand side to the main entrance rather than the ticket booth. However, you probably can use the back entrance as well. The only other place I can think of is the pleasure island ticket booth in downtown disney? Not sure but it only takes a couple of minutes so you could go early in the morning!

We activated ours at the International Gateway entrance to Epcot at the ticket booths. Took about 10 minutes to do all 5. Just keep in mind, the day you activate it your year starts, unless you're activating a renewal pass, then it doesn't matter.

I need help along similar lines. I need to "upgrade" my unused 4-Day Park Hopper to an AP BEFORE CHECK-IN and due to a change in plans  will not be arriving until possibly 8pm. Can I do this at the DTD Guest Services office that is open 'til 11:30? I had called Disney originally to see about where to do this and the CM I spoke to mentioned an office by Planet Hollywood. Is this the office you're referring to which is open 'til 11:30? Thank you!

Any Guest Relations can handle this including the two at DTD. If a park is open late the night you get there, you can go there, too. The Guest Relations offices at DTD are located in the Marketplace and in West Side.

The Marketplace location is right next door to the Once Upon A Toy shop on the Rainforest Cafe end of the Marketplace. This is an actual office that you walk into. It's open Sun-Thurs until 11:00 and Fri-Sat until 11:30.

The West Side location is at the Pleasure Island end, just past the AMC Theaters. Walk straight down with PI on your right and AMC Theaters on your left and you will see it right in front of you. It is a white building that says "information" on it. This is a Guest Relations window like the parks have.

I have AP vouchers that will need to be activated also. I just received a nice room discount with my AP that must be activated BEFORE I check in(was told this last Monday by the CM). My question is,will I have to pay for parking at Epcot or DTD while I do this?
