Hi,
What would you suggest we do for our trip in September.
Never stayed at any of them. Thanks again!

It depends on what you're looking for. We have never been to AoA, but have stayed at the WL a few times and love it! We love the theming -- I think its some of the best theming of all the resorts. The boat is really convenient and we like being on the water and close to the MK and other reorts.

My kids love the WL boat transportation :) We had a great stay there and are returning our next trip :)

Thanks everyone!

We are excited!!!

I would choose the WL. The WL is an awesome resort with a great pool, beautiful surroundings, boat transportation to MK, and Roaring Forks for quick CS meals and/or snacks. We love the WL for the close proximity to MK and to the monorail resorts for dining and shopping :goodvibes.

I think it's going to be a bit difficult to get a fair comparison at this point seeing as though AoA just recently opened its first building at the end of May. Like the other posters here I've stayed at WL on multiple occasions and loved the resort. They have a mini-waterslide that your 5 year old and your 11 yo would love, although you'd have to make a judgement on the 5 yo. My son was 5 when he first went down it, but he was a decent swimmer at the time. Just make sure someone is down towards the bottom of the slide when they come down for the first couple of times to be sure.

That being said your kids may enjoy the surroundings of the AoA resort a bit more. I've heard that they have activities that teach you how to draw animations over there and from what I've seen online the theme is pretty cool. The price on the other hand can be steep in some of the AoA rooms, so be careful.

You will be able to take a nice boat ride from WL to MK whereas at AoA you are somewhat isolated away from the parks. I would suggest that you sit down with your kids around the computer and take some of the online guided tours of both resorts and see if anything sparks in their eye. Then make a decision based off that. Just be aware as I said that the Family Suite rooms at AoA can run you anywhere from 250-400+ a night depending on the time of year.

Thanks everyone!

If you can swing it, WL is the easy choice IMO.

More amenities, better food selections (The kids will love Whispering Canyon Cafe), better pool, more things to do, boat to MK...

Try and get the Queen bed and bunks for the kids..

That is a tough choice. AOA looks so amazing, it's new and I'm sure your youngest would love the theme.

WL is such a great location though. Especially for mid day breaks. September is so hot and humid a swim mid day is so nice. For the location and boat transportation to the monorail I would go with WL.

Thanks everyone. We have decided with the Wilderness Lodge. It just looks great. =)

Yolie I know next to nothing about AOA, but WL is a terrific resort. Great choice:earsboy:
