Hi we are a family of 7(with the grandparents) . We stayed at Aoa Lion King Suites Oct 2012 with free dinning and loved it . So here is my question has anyone ever received free dinning in the Little Mermaid section ? I know it's not typical but has it ever happened ? If so did you get a pin or find a Gp code ? I really want to be at Aoa but could not justify staying their without free dinning if its offered at other resorts. We will be going 12/12-12/20.

except for when they opened a few months early the LM rooms have never been included in any FD promo and are not expected to be this year. The rooms are so popular that Disney does not need to offer FD to fill them.

I did!!! But we had a bounceback offer from the year before the AOA resort opened so Little Mermaid was not excluded from our free dining offer. Ppl with that bounceback pin could call and change to AOA and get free dining. Then they briefly opened up some rooms to everyone. I think we were there the week after Little Mermaid section opened. I loved it. It will be hard to stay at any other value now. I would even take it over a moderate. The food court was great, the pools were partly salt water. And the theming was wonderful!

this was only b/c the resort opened that portion ahead of schedule and they needed to fill those rooms. the rooms there book up now about 4-6 months out year round. I would be surprised if we saw a discount offered on LM rooms at AoA again in the next 2-3 years. As long as people are willing to pay full price and book them up ahead of time there is no reason for Disney to offer a discount on them.
