Sunday 19th December
We were up at 7.05am thanks to Stitch telling us no sleeping and Mickey apologising for Stitchs behaviour, so cute! We showered and dressed and walked to the bus stop to board the bus for Epcot. Most of the queues were busy. We didnt have to wait long for the bus.
Walking to the Epcot gate was weird no Epcot music coming from the speakers in the bushes, but Christmas music instead. Thats not right! I love hearing the Epcot music through the bushes as I walk to the gates. Anyway, there were humungous queues, but we kept walking and managed to find a relatively small one.
Once through the gates, we realised we were hungry and decided to try the Electric Umbrella for breakfast. The queue for Spaceship Earth was stretching out and round right up to the Art of Disney store Id never seen it that bad before. These queues stayed for our entire trip and we never did get to ride it unfortunately. It was nice and empty inside the Electric Umbrella. Hubby had the cheese omelet meal (his fave) and I had the French toast sticks both very yum.
Hubby went for a cigarette while I investigated the pin trading shop.
I bought a few (as you do). We then walked towards Mission Space and Test Track. There was a long wait for Test Track but only a 5 minute standby line for Mission Space. I found a comfy seat and waited for hubby to have his ride. He was back in 20 minutes, excellent. Next up the Universe of Energy with Ellen.
I do like this ride (Stupid Judy) - even if it is educational. We then walked through to World Showcase and had a lovely walk through Canada, where I bought the Off Kilter Live CD, and through to the UK. I thought the Christmas Tree looked lovely.
I met Pooh, Tigger and Rabbit in the shop and I got a huge hug of each of them, and got my photo taken.
No British Invasion playing today unfortunately. It was 12.30pm by now and we were due to meet Karen (Miffy2003), hubby John and their 2 lovely daughters Erin and Amber, and Allie and hubby Neil and their lovely daughter Jess for lunch at the Rose & Crown at 1.10pm. We decided to go into the pub for a quick drink. While waiting outside, Off Kilter started playing so I listened and boogied.
We met the gang on time and had a good chat while we waited for the pager to go off. There were 9 of us altogether. I must say that the kiddies were really well behaved and they kept themselves entertained, they really were a joy. After 15 minutes, we were lead to our table in the dining room. We had a good gossip and werent really paying much attention to the menu at first. Andy chose fish and chips and I eventually chose Bangers & Mash. Id read mixed reviews about the Rose and Crown but I must say that I really enjoyed my food here. The food was really lovely.
sticky toffee pudding mmmm!
The cocktails looked yummy I didnt partake as I was still taking tablets for the migraine, plus if I drink during the day I get drunk very quickly, not a good idea. We had a lovely time together and a good laugh. Thanks guys!!
