ANYWHERE to view a pay-per-view????

My husband and I are freaking out because one of our great friends in starring in a pay-per view event for UFC on June 4th, the first night of our vacation and we can't seem to find anywhere in the Orlando area where we would be able to view it. Does ANYONE know of ANYPLACE in Disney where you can view or purchase a pay-per-view, we're staying at WL, but my hubby would instantly pay cab fare to get somewhere he could view this. Thanks.

No PPV in the Disney resorts. Perhaps the Swan/Dolphin? I don't know about them.

what event is this?

since it is a sporting event, there is possibility that it may be played at the
ESPN club on the boardwalk. they usually have a variety of sporting events going on in there. you could call and find out. maybe they are subscribing to it...

just a thought...

I doubt they would, it is the Ultimate Fighting Championship, our friend Rich Franklin is fighting for the middle heavyweight title. It can get violent so I doubt it would be in a family establishment like ESPN club. I am really hoping to find somewhere we can watch or purchase it.

There has got to be a bar someplace in Orlando to watch it. Also is pay per view available online? Just a thought... Try and call the ESPN cafe and they would probably be able to point you in the right direction because I am sure there have been other things they don't show. Go RICH!!

I tried them, no go. They referred me to TGI Fridays and they don't show them either. I am so bummed! There has to be SOMEWHERE in Orlando that shows Pay per views, we are willing to pay!

Maybe check the local hotels to see if they have pay per view in the rooms. Maybe spend the first night of your stay there.

Try Buffalo Wild Wings the ones up here carry UFC PPV all the time maybe the one down there will also. I checked their web site and got the # for you its 407-351-6207 and located on International Drive in Orlando. Looking forward to that PPV because of Tanner/Franklin fight should be a great fight. If not there try local hotels someone should be carrying it in there bar area.

Oh man what a great fight that is gonna be. Rich Franklin is one of my favorites. How do you know him? His brother was refereeing the last fight card I saw in Lexington, KY. Evan Tanner is one tough guy though.

I will be recording the fight. It is possible I could burn it for you.

I know the Swan/Dolphin have PPV because I remember seeing the options on the tv set when we were there.
As the other posters have said, maybe ESPN or maybe WL can advise you.

Lame suggestion--so I apologize...

But can you purchase the event at home in advance of your trip and then record it. Not the same as live--but your bases would be covered should you not have any luck.

I don't think you can purchase PPV in advance.

Yeah we are excited about it. Rich and his wife Beth are really good friends of ours, they go to our church and we have become close friends as a result. They are great people. I've never seen anyone as dedicated to his diet and training as Rich, we want him to Win on the 4th but we are dying to be able to actually view the fight. I am going to call the BW3's the other poster suggested, thanks for that!
