Anything you still haven't done???

Since our kids are still little (about to be 4, 2 1/2 and 7 months cooking) there is a lot we have yet to do.... Space mountian with the kids and such.....

I sooooo look forward to growing up with DVC... as each child reaches the next height hurdle.... Last trip ODD was tall enough to ride Splash Mountian.... What a thrill that was!

I look forward to each and every year doing new and better things... the list, for us, is endless!

Here is some of the DVC things we haven't done, but are on our list.

- New York, The Plaza... I've got this trip all planned out. I just need figure out when?
- Trip without kids (We're about 5-7 years before we can get away with this one though).

We did the Plaza this past August.... WOW! Way cool. Great hotel, great city! Go for it! (worth the points too, since DH would never pay rack to stay there!)

DH and I did took an alone trip to WDW in September.... snuck away for 4 days.... it was a hoot. Would have been a better trip if I had not gotten pregnant at the Plaza the month before! LOL

There is always something we have never done....Over this past December DH and I saw the Diamond horseshoe review for the very first time....good thing cause it was canceled soon after...

We still haven't seen the "new" MK parade....I saw it years ago but not lately...hopefully next Christmas we will get a chance to see it...

We have started doing the behind-the-scenes tours. We just did "keys to the kingdom" and it was great. We are going to try and hit all the restaurants at least once, not just our favorites. This coming Dec trip to VWL w plan on doing the boat/bike/etc plan. We myactually pool hop.

Basically DW and I are at a point where we don't HAVE to do anything- no more commando for us. We will not stand in a line for more then 5 minutes. At the shows we don't need to arrive an hour early to get front row. We have a relaxing time a WDW.

My Gosh...this is quite embarrasing!!! In countless trips to Disney we still have never made it to Disney Studios (or whatever it's called), have only done World Showcase in Epcot and maybe one or two things on the other side of Epcot. Never been to Ice Station Cool or Test Track. Never did the Haunted Castle or a roller coaster or Tom Sawyer Island in Magic Kingdom Still haven't made it to a water park.... As you can see, we are very laid back vacationers. Up by 9, out to breakfast, a ride or two....a leisurely lunch...a ride...icecream. Back to the hotel to lay by the pool...get ready for dinner... go to dinner,...parade...dessert....back to the room. We have made it to many different restaurants!!!!

Would like to;

try miniature golf
go horseback riding
go to the campfire movie thing at WL
do the parasail thing at the GF

Thanks!:p

I have to dog out my guide book. Yes, I still buy them once in a while. There was a listing about CM's doing a storytelling. I will look for the bookk one night this week and post better details.

DVC has allowed us to relax on our trips. We now spend time on each trip enjoying the details of WDW: The names on windows on Main Street, finding the hidden Mickey's, sitting and enjoying the theming, taking the behind the scenes tours, talking with cast members and other guests, not worring about lines and hitting a certain number of attractions, and the like. We also try to do new things each trip along with favorites. There are plenty of "to do's" for us to enjoy. Our problem is that most of the new things we try end up going on the favorites list.

Our "To DO' list for this summer trip is:

Water Parks

Mickeys Luau (which is still in question)

Horseback riding

Pirates cruise for younger DD's who will also do Adventures in cooking for the 3rd year!!

Me and DH......nice quiet dinner at Flying Fish!!

I am sure we will continue to add to our new To Do list as WDW is always changinng...............

We have 3 kids (now 8,6,and 2) so our to-do list is ever-growing, ever-changing! With every trip, we each list 2 "favorite must-do's" and then at least one "gotta-do-cause-I've-never-done-it"! Last family trip we all finally got to see FANTASMIC, and we ate at Whispering Canyons in VWL. DH and older boys got to ride Test Track (had to wait til boys were tall enough!). DD and I went to a Princess Breakfast (girl's day out!) and visited Ariel. And we visited Typhoon Lagoon (our first waterpark trip) and pool-hopped to Boardwalk. One nice thing about DVC is it definitely puts us at a leisurely pace -- we don't feel like it's do or die -- and that makes everything so much more enjoyable! We find that a big long stay (about 10+ days) really works for us much better than frequent smaller stays-- gives us time to plan and also time to lay back and go wherever the flow takes us. We still have so many restaurants, rides, shows, pools, parks yet to see... and more is added every minute.

What we don't get to today will be there for us tomorrow... life is good! :smooth:

Cindy

Let's see....

1. Visit Celebration. A friend of mine told me that it's a very fun place just to walk around....not to mention shop and eat!

2. Go to Le Cellier and L'Originale Alfredo de Roma Ristorante in Epcot for a great dinner.

3. Play miniature golf at Fantasia Gardens.

4. Stay at OKW and BCV.

5. Take the tour at VWL.

6. Go on the Backstage Safari and Backstage Magic Tours.

7. DH is looking forward to a "no parks" vacation....just visit other resorts, sit by the pool, and get away from the rat race.

On our list for our trip earlier this month:

eat at Ohana, and it was all I had hoped for.

find Devine at Animal Kingdom. She was incredible and worth the wait.

take a tour. Did Backstage Magic. Filled with lots of informatin that makes your visits to the parks more magical by seeing a lot of the unknown details.

be Flag Family at VWL. We did this on 3-7-03, and Stan was our Guide, and it was worth getting up early that morning for the view.

Have not started a list for next trip, but then we don't have a next trip planned yet. :( :( :( :( :(
