HI everyone!

A few years ago I remember reading somehthing about wearing a pin that says "Its my Birthday" in the parks. Is this still done? I know you can bring our own pin to wear but I was thinking there was a special one you could pick up in the parks. My dd will be turning 2 while we are there. If anyone has any information on this I would love to hear it!

Thanks in advance!! ::MinnieMo

Stop by City Hall when you enter MK to pick up a birthday badge for your DD. We did this for our DS for his birthday, and he got lots of attention from CM's, lots of wishes of happy birthday. Actually, we were in MGM for his birthday, so we picked up the badge the day before when we were at MK so he could wear it on his birthday. At that time, they were only available in MK, but I think I've read since then you can also get them at another park (maybe Epcot?). I'm not sure about that part, but I know for sure you can get one at City Hall.

If you are visiting MK that day go to City Hall and ask someone at the desk about a birthday button.

When my ds turned 8 we did this. The CM was so nice. She asked him his name, when he told her she said that someone had called asking for him. When he took the phone, it was GOOFY! He was singing Happy Birthday to him. He loved it. On the way out of City Hall, the Major came by and shook his hand and wished him Happy Birthday too.

All day everyone from CMs to park guests was wishing him a Happy Birthday. Most CMs asked him if he wanted to ride in the front of rides such as Splash and Space. He even got free ice cream at one of the restuarants. Also during a parade, the Dapper Dans sang Happy Birthday to him.

If you get a birthday button, just don't expect anything to happen but if it does you will be thrilled, we were.

Have fun!!

As far as I know, all the parks have birthday buttons. I got mine in AK last year, and it has the Tree of Life on it.

Kungaloosh!

MK, Epcot, and DAK each have their own Birthday button design. MGM uses the same button as MK (don't know why, they just do).

If you're staying at a Disney resort, you might want to mention the birthday at check-in as well. You might be surprised with a few balloons in your room.
