Anything New at Wilderness Lodge?

Hi everyone! Just thought I'd get an update on my beloved Wilderness Lodge. My family and I used to travel to WDW once a year, and since the WL opened in 94, that was our place! However, since I started college back in 2002, the Disney budget has been too tight to go. But this being my senior year, a return trip to the WL is not too far off in the distance I just wanted to get a feel for any changes that may or may not have taken place at the WL since the summer of 02. Have there been any major cosmetic changes? We have been there since the completion of the Villas. Is there anything new at Whispering Canyon, Artist Point, the Roaring Fork, or the Mercentile? We have been there since the Roaring Fork arcade moved down past the Mercentile, leaving only the restaurant. Have there been any changes made out back to the pool or boat launch area? Does the boat still go to the MK, Contemp, and FW? (I sure hope so!) Is Ranger Stan still giving tours? I know he was floating rumors of retirement, but he enjoyed his job too much. Any insight on this grand resort would be greatly appreciated!

I think Ranger Stan did retire!! I havent seen him on my last few trips!! Other than that, there arent any real changes. Its the good ole WL like it was. I did hear that they are changeing the concierge lounge around and closing a few rooms in that area to make room, but its not done yet. The pools, lobby, restaurants and boat launch are all the same. Although the geyser seems to always broken when we go these days.

Ranger Stan was there this past Easter, we were there for that week.

Just saw Ranger Stan last Saturday...still doing the Flag Family in the am and passing out words of wisdom to guest @ Wilderness Lodge.

The Lodge is still the same as you remember, they are doing a small rehab out by the pool. (it looked like they were working on the rocks/boulders near the hot tubs) For the latest news check out the FAQ thread I posted all the news going on at Wilderness lodge on page 94. Old Faithful Geyser was also operational going off evey hour.
