Is anyone worried about the crowds at POP in sept. with the free dining? Espescially at the end of Sept!! I'm just worried that the buses are going to be packed. I'm still happy I'm going to Disney though.. Plus free Food!!!
:teeth:

I just came back from the pop today and we had a great time. The hotel was sold out during our visit and the crowds were not bad at all. I was amazed that such a large hotel could be sold out and we were not bothered at all. We easily got on the buses and never waited very long.
We did request a lake view room and I think this helped because we never heard anyone. It was amazingly quiet.

We have been to WDW twice during the kast week of Sept and the crowds were nonexistant. Granted one week was during Hurricane Jeanne and the other was two weeks after 9-11.
Its reassuring to hear that even with the resort being full there weren't crowds .
I cant help but ask , was the resort not crowded because everyone was in line for rides?

We were there last year at the end of Sept. and the resort was fine (except for some long waits for buses) however, with the free dining plan for this time most people will be staying at POP since they have to pay rack rate now.

We went back to POP in Feb. over Mardi Gras and the Resort was Jammed :crowded: and the lines for the buses was pathetic  . Thankfully we switched resorts right when the crowds came in but I worry that the resort will be like that again.

I'm debating switching to an All Star Resort but they share buses and I can't see there being much of a difference.

I guess we'll have to take our chances and be happy we're on vacation!! :goodvibes

Please remember that, even with the free dining deal, September is a time of year when children are in school. All/most families don't/won't/can't take their children out of school for vacations like this.

I think it will be busier than the typical September, but it's not going to be like June, July, or August.

I'm going in September too with the free dining and I did question whether it will be overly crowded now with the free dining deal. But I honestly don't think the deal caught on with the general public. If there is any over-crowding at WDW during September, it will be because of all us DIS'ers, and that's a good thing, right? More lime green!! :)

I agree Not many people know about the free dinning.
When I want to the TA to book my trip he did not know about it.
I think only people who were looking to go at this time and were looking for a deal will be there! At least that is what I am hoping! :flower:

I'm worried but hopeful that most people don't know about it or aren't willing to pull their kids out of school or worried about hurricanes. I double checked when I booked that hurricanes are covered by travel insurance and the CM said "yes but we aren't having any hurricanes this year" LOL!! I'm so excited to be going back that if we had to cancel because of a hurricane I don't know what I'd do, I'm sure they won't be offering this free dining plan again anytime soon and that's the only reason we can afford to go.

Yep and we're one of the families who will not take the kids out of school, especially when the school has just begun. Well, anytime of the school year for that matter, I can't and will not take the kids out of school, not anymore.

Have a magical time. I am very sure that it will not be that crowded compared during summer school vacation. I wouldn't worry to much about it. Enjoy!
