Anyone who has flown in from Laguardia or Kennedy Airport I have a question?

We are flying in from New York for our upcoming cruise. Was wondering about the times that your flights departed from these airports and if you booked the airfare through DCL. Just trying to get an idea of when we would be getting to the boat. Thanks

I have flown out of both airports to FLA for a Disney Cruise.

Don't use Disney Air you can get the flight cheaper on your own. AS far as times go you would not want to take a flight that has a time of arrival after 12:00PM in case on a delay.

Check Jetblue Flysong(Delta) and Orbitz.com. Another way is fly in a day early if you can just to be safe.

Hope this helps.

My familyand I always fly jetblue out of JFK when going to orlando. So far the flights have been great (on time). We usually fly in a few days before our cruise. We enjoy spending some time at WDW or Universal before the cruise and we don't have to worry about missing our flight or the ship.

Happy planning!

We always fly from EWR or LGA to florida for our DCL trips. Next month we are flying Song Airlines (Delta) from LGA and we got fares for $185.00 pp R/T. We just booked last week.

This time though we are flying into TPA on the 5th and flying home from MCO after our cruise on the 14th. Our flight is at 11:00 am.

This past May we flew song from EWR for only $135 pp R/T to MCO for our 5/17 cruise!!

Hi

We are on the 2/14/04 Magic. We booked air thru DCL and are on a 6:30 AM flight from LGA to MCO. On the return they have us leaving out of Daytona and switching at Atlanta and then returning to LGA.

I agree you can get less expensive flights (even less expensive direct flights) but in February we want DCL responsible for getting us there on time.

Hope this helps in your decision.

Why would you want to drive into Queens when Islip is right here on the Island. Now that I've flown out of all three I'd never want to fight the crowd at JFK or Laguardia.

Jeffrey, I totally agree with you. That is why for my first DC, I decided to do everything through DCL. I know that I could get a cheaper flight, I know its easier going out of MacArthur, but I just want to go the easy way the first time. Don't want any worries. If there is a next time (and I think there will be), I will book my own airfare and probably go the day before, but this time I will be at their mercy lol. I'm sure it will be fine, can't wait!

You're going to pay a LOT more using Disney air than booking it yourself. And Southwest has at least 8 flights a day going down to Orlando out of Islip and usually the price is the same as JetBlue out of JFK.

I have taken JetBlue out of JFK once, but the price difference didn't make up for the fact that you have to add an hour's driving time and deal with JFK overall.

Just think of what you can do with the saved money...book an excursion or spa treatment for yourself!!

Thanks Phyllis but I don't know if that is always true. The price I am paying through my TA with airfare through disney (she must have gotten some sort of discount and passed it on to us), is the same price through disney on line WITHOUT AIR. So, I think I got a pretty good deal. I am sure, that most times, the airfare would be cheaper doing it on your own, but in this case, I think we got a pretty good deal;)

We flew on Spirit from LGA last month (great price - $144/rt, couldn't match that price from any other local airport). The price was great, but LGA has some problems on windy days, and they can only use one runway, so our return trip was delayed by more than two hours.

Other than that, we had no problems!

As much as Islip is SO much more convinient- we are HUGE Jetblue Fans-- and as far as JFK goes- we normally hate it but Jetblue has their own terminal & its beautiful- nevermind the fact that the direct tv in flight keeps my bf busy :) It's a personal choice- southwest used to be cheaper but lately jetblue has had better fares. Either way you're flying to Disney- what could be better???!!!! :)
