Surprisingly, I liked the last episode. I still cannot wrap my head around Miranda's storyline, though. In the second movie, she quit her job and seemed to be moving towards a better work-life balance, so her being so unhappy with her job/life at the beginning of this show didn't make sense to me. Sure, things change, but they never really explained why.
Her argument with Carrie in the bathroom was exactly like their argument in the final season about Carrie going to Paris, except in reverse, and Carrie was waaaaay less judgmental. Remember when she snarkily said "What are you going to do in Paris all day, eat croissant?" Also, I haven't forgotten when Samantha dated Maria and Miranda called her the "lesbian du jour."
I think they glossed over the divorce too much, and not bringing up Miranda's hypocrisy with Steve cheating was a misfire. I really that during Carrie and Big's affair in the original show, they never tried to portray her in a good light. She was wrong for doing it, and Natasha got to call her out when Carrie kept trying to apologize. I always appreciated that. AJLT only gave us sad sack Steve talking to Carrie.
