ABC News said she will be on the phone with Carrie. So, she doesn't actually have to film with any of the other women. They will just edit together clips of her on the phone with clips of Carrie on the phone.

Yes, surprised about the first one.

But, as for the writers strike, they are allowed to film. SAG has it in their union rules a "No strike" clause. I guess that means even if other sister unions strike, they are not allowed to participate in those strikes by not showing up for acting work. They CAN join in and participate in the picket lines though on their days off and are encouraged to do so.

They can film what has already been written down pre-strike. They just can't act in anything that is being RE-written while they are filming. We may see a lot of bad scripts in the next several months.

However, SAG is anticipated to possibly go on strike themselves at the end of June. That's when everything will come to a screeching halt. Hopefully, both unions striking at the same time will actually help each other get what they want.

There's an old cliche or joke where someone is complaining about all their ex-spouses or partners, this one has this problem, that one has that problems, the third one was a nut case, etc., the person is blaming all of them for one thing or another.
