Anyone watching "Deadwood?"

That is easily my new favorite show.
I was speechless after last night's episode.
The casting is perfect, the characters are incredible, the dialogue is a riot (if a bit salty...)

And I just read today that it's been picked up for another full season.

Anyone else? Hmmm??

We are watching it and I'm really into it. I must admit though that I am really bummed they killed off WBH so early in the series. I really liked his character. I knew it was going to happen eventually, I guess I just didn't expect it so soon.

I found myself waiting for the Sopranos to end so we could get straight to Deadwood last night.

If you can get past the language, it's a fantastic show! I was also disappointed by WBH's demise - the character was phenomenal!

The show literally has us hanging onto every sentence. Thank goodness for Tivo so we can replay things!

Is he really dead??? I thought I saw a twitch right before the credits....

DH and I are loving it too!! Ditto on the offing of WBH so early. I like the interaction between him and Montana and him and Calamity Jane. The language is a kit crude and they use the term c***s**ker a bit much I almost laugh some times. But this series is definitely better than Sopranos has been this season.

I'm assuming he is really dead since the show is going by somewhat historical accuracys. Hickok was shot while playing poker with his back to the door.

Now I'm really bummed - thought there was still hope...:(

I liked Wild Bill, too. But since the show is so good, I'm just going to put my trust in it and hope someone new comes in who's just as cool.

The new saloon people are pretty interesting. Powers Booth and Ricky Jay - now there's a pair.

And as long as Al Swearingen is around, I'm hooked. That guy is a riot. (In a very dark way, of course.)

I think that Wild Bill's death will ignite law into a lawless town and who better to bring that than Seth Bullock/Montana. While I'm bummed he was killed, I think his death will bring interesting episodes ahead!

I knew that WBH was killed in Deadwood in 1876 with the "Dead Man's Hand" but I was not prepared when he was shot last night. I will miss Keith Carradine's take on Wild Bill.
