Anyone waiting for BCV points from Disney?

Anyone waiting for BCV points from Disney get their points recenty? I'm particularly interested in August UY. Thanks

Well, it's not real recent, but I finally got the add-on points we asked for in February. We called DVC and went on the waitlist for them in June 2007 and received them in February 2008 with our April UY.

Just wondering why you are not looking at resales...there are resales for BCV out there. I bought my first OKW points in 1994 from disney, but added on at HHI by resale in 2002 and it was easy and efficient.

We are on the list with Disney for Beach Club with a September use year. We have been on the list for about 2 months.

I would like to add on at BCV and was trying to decide which is best--resale or Disney. Would the wait be just a long depending on the size of contract you are looking for--but cheaper through resale? I guess if you wanted to match up your UY but are there other advantages? Specifically, I would like to add on about 60 pts @ BCV.

Called on Sat and they had points available for my add on (April UY)
They are already in my account!

If Disney has your points, they are MUCH quicker than resale. If they don't have your UY points available, it could be next year sometime before you get your add on (or it could be next week, you don't really know).

I would continue to check the resale ads and see if they have something that you're interested in.
I have bought 2 fully loaded contracts resale that were cheaper (even including the closing costs) than through Disney. Both times it took a couple of months to get the deal closed and the points in my name in the system, but that was faster than (possibly) waiting 6 months for Disney to get my points/UY.

We have an April UY at BCV too. If you do not mind me asking, how many points did you wait list for? We are going to be calling for additional points in a couple of months ourselves.
