Anyone waiting for 2010???

I agree with you. Next time we go, I will relax, enjoy, and have fun watching my kids. They are only small for a short time.

I would get a park hopper.

I would not spend most of my day at Hollywood studio. If I had the ph, I would of left sooner. oh well.

In "05 we only stayed for 5 days.
This time I would love to do about 9-10 days !!!!:cool1:

And, to be able to slow down the pace and enjoy the
magic for longer.

:cloud9: I want to enjoy our resort and have some down time ! :cloud9:
I am already saving now, so hopefully we can do a moderate again.
Maybe Carribean resort this time, I love the whole carribean feel it has !!!

My children will be 5 yrs. older, so they will be able to walk around a
bigger resort w/o complaining of tired legs !!! Last time we did POFQ which
was perfect with 2 five yr. olds. !!!

:woohoo: And, this time we are hitting the water parks ! :woohoo:

Hello, just checking in with my fellow "Disers' in waiting", and waiting, and waiting...... :rolleyes1

I'm really missing WDW today because we have been talking about the rides at work, sigh..

*Hugs*
I feel your pain. Ugh. I have never been very good at waiting for anything!!

Things to do again (and always!):
*Stay at POP*
*Get the Dining Plan and Park Hoppers*
*Eat lunch at Le Celier at least 2 times on the trip*
*Dinner at Crystal Palace*
*Fly there*
*Take a break on each nice day to swim at the resort*
*Take advantage of EMH*
*Breakfast at Tusker House*
*Spend more time at Epcot*
*Do all the passport/kidcot areas*
*Illuminations*
*Fantasmic*
*Wishes*.... sigh....
*Hot Dogs at Casey's during the parades*
*Soarin'* (my new favorite ride!)
*Test Track*
*All of the Mountains*
*Mickey's Philharmagic*
*BBB for the little girls*
*Pirate and Princess Party*
*Take full advantage of Fast Passes*
***EVERYTHING!!!***

Things I wouldn't do again:
*Spend an entire day at Hollywood studios- I'd just go from about late afternoon until after Fantasmic*
*Sounds Dangerous*
*Stitch the Ride*
*Lunch at Cinderella's table- seemed overpriced for the meal, and we felt very rushed*
*Country Bear Jamboree*
*Mickey's very merry christmas party*... it was way too crowded!!
*Worry about schedules so much*

Who am I kidding... sign me up- even the things I didn't "like", I still love!! :rolleyes1

Great idea to pass the time- i will be back to read in more detail and write my own when i have abit of time- I think my list might be rather large as i've only been the once and i had no part in planning it- so of course i want to do everything looool

Wow, ditto on everything!

Adding to my list (I need to write these things down!:lmao: )

Absolutely fly!!! 11 hours is B-R-U-T-A-L:sad2: That's 2 days we could be enjoying Disney that we're stuck in a car!!

Water parks...

Stay 12 whole days not 6 :woohoo: (told my Dad that I just want to become a troll and live under the bridge at Cinderella's castle :rotfl: )

See Fantasmic... missed it in May and have never seen it before :sad1:

Let DD do BBB again, she loved this princess:

Soarin'... missed it too :sad2:

Will take advantage of EEMH again, the parks were like a ghost town at night, loved it!

Go to HS at night, it's awesome at night!

I know DD would probably add to go swimming a little bit less and enjoy the parks more, she and DH went back to go swimming ALOT while I stayed behind with my bff and her family and enjoyed the parks. DD was really sad that she missed some of the things she did. I think she's decided she'd rather swim before we go or after we get back :thumbsup2

We are 2010 - Easter weeks.
We are planning to celebrate our 25th anniversary(4 days after we arive) , our DS's 18th birthday (2 days after we arrive, I heard we will not be charged for the 3rd adult, since he starts as a junior).
Also our DS will graduate H.S. 1 month after we get back and DD will have her 15th birthday 2 months after we get back.

We already bought our 10 day park hopper tickets.

We have decide to try Dolphin in Depth (I have to diet to get my wedding band off my fingers - what a good reason to loose 20 pounds).

We decided to stay at a moderate, do to the economy, and found CSR to best suit our family (pool, Cabana's, bus service, PM, location).

We plan on using the DDP - I hope it still exists.

And Harry Potter World should be open at Universal in Spring 2010.

Ok So..... last time I went it was with my bf and his family, we stayed 14nights and had a villa- I didnt have any part of the planning or anything- just have to turn up and have fun :goodvibes its was my first disney holiday and i feel in love with it, i'm a big fan of dlrp and love going there and living Uk it soo easy just to pop over there. I decided one day a few months a go that in2010 we should do WDW and my bf agreed :cheer2: at first i thought maybe we should wait abit longer untill 2012 but I thats just too far away. So the plan is me and my bf staying for 18 nights(we the flying etc we though the first and past day we're not doing to do much so to get our full 14days we'd stay longer)I wanted to stay Animal Kingdom Lodge :cloud9: and my bf wanted to stay All Star Movies as he has fond childhood memories of staying there- sooooo we compromised and have decided to go for a mod- CSR in fact, it looks stunning and I have read lots of good review about it.We plan to go end of May/beginning of June as we will be celebrating 9years together-we had though for a brief second last night that maybe we should go 2011 as it will be the 40th anniversary for wdw and our 10th but thats another year and we cant wait that long :rotfl: Altho i just want to go everything and anything here what I'm most excited about:-

Stay onsite
Having the dinning plan and trying all the lovely food- we only ate at CS last time
EMH
Walking around world showcase and taking more time to look at the details
Illuminations
Fantasmic
Wishes
Parades
Pirate and Princess Party- If its on
Seeing the shows- We only saw the Lion King last time, this time i want to see as many as we can.
Shopping at downtown disney
Seeing Cirque du Soleil show
All the rides!!!
Kilimanjaro Safari- really love this
And i'm also very excited about going to Seaworld to see the dolphins again and going to Universal rolleyes1

We plan to go end of May/beginning of June as we will be celebrating 9years together

Cool.. we should set up a DIS meet since we'll more than likely be going at the exact same time :thumbsup2 Then we can be facinated by your lovely accent and you can make fun of ours! We've got that southern draaawllllll :lmao:

Last time we went DS was just 2 (it was January of 2007)and now we have our DD who will be just 2 for our May 2010 trip and DS will then be 5! YIKES! Things we want to do are:

-Stay at CBR or hopefully save (and get a code) for WL!!
-Swim more and enjoy resort more
-Ride "big" rides with DS for the first time
-Riding rides and meeting characters with DD for the first time
-We pick 2 TS meals this time we want to try Donald's Safari Breakfast & either Coral Reef or Le Cellier
-Enjoy onion rings and shakes at Beaches n' Cream
-Finally see Spectro
-See Fantasmic (it's been almost 10 years!)
-Wear matching t-shirts (may have to really twist DH's arm)

I know there are more but this is just a start, I still have 1 year and 9.5 months to think of more:goodvibes :goodvibes

hello all 2010ers!
I went in december 07 and am planning our january 10 trip already
woohoo
i am hoping that we will catch some codes pretty early on
glad to know there are so many of us in the same boats

What we want to do next time:

1. Dining Plan
2. Cirque du Soleil
3. Water Parks
4. Thrill Rides (I'm scared of them)
5. Soarin (1st row)
6. Spectro
7. Passport/Kidcot areas
8. Drink a Gran Marnier Orange Slush in France pavillion
9. BBB for my daughter and my niece
10. Go to California Grill to see Wishes
11. Go to the resort pool

etc, etc, etc...

Codes? What kind of codes do you think they will offer. I am assuming free dining is not offered in NOV. What other money saving promotions do they run then?

I'm not really sure. I'm holding out hope that I can get some kind of room discount for either a mod. or deluxe.

Hi!

It is nice to have a place to share and dream together. :woohoo: Thanks to everyone here, I can dream and plan a trip for March 2010 and actually have input from others who share my enthusiasm! :cheer2:

We are looking at March 2010. We are thinking about staying onsite for our second family trip to WDW. We stayed at CBR in 2005 and would like to try a different resort for fun. :yay:

 Welcome! Where are you thinking about staying because I know you've thought about it ;)

Ok, to pass the time, I thought it might be fun to list some of the things that you wished that you had done last time you went and things you regretted doing that you won't do again.. Here's mine:

I will absolutely do the dining plan again. I thought it was awesome being able to do so many character meals that we normally wouldn't have wanted to pay to do.

I will not overstress and worry that DH is not having a good time and just relax, because even though he is not as excited as DD and I he REALLY IS enjoying himself! :goodvibes

Anybody else??? :confused3

popcorn::

I agree with these two items. The dining plan worked well for us in 2005, since it gave us the chance to try out several restaurants and character meals that we otherwise would have passed on to save money. My DH and I liked having a nice meal each day where we didn't have to balance a tray in our arms, along with hanging on to our DD and keeping a lookout for an open table. :lmao:
My DH and kids thought it was neat how we got to see and interact with several different characters throughout our trip. I liked how the the kids got to see the characters and we didn't have to stand in line and wait a long time to see many of them.

I am sad that the Liberty Tree Tavern will no longer have the character dinner. It is a shame. It seems like Disney is constantly pushing all the new characters and movies while pushing Mickey and his friends to the sidelines!

I would love to see a resort that is centered around Mickey, Minnie, Chip, Dale, etc. Yes, I know that you can see some of these characters in many of the resorts now, but they are small in comparison to the big gigantic presence of characters from other movies (Woody, Buzz, Lady and the Tramp, Mighty Ducks, etc).

I also want to keep the focus on having a fun, RELAXING time with my family. Since we have only been twice (once before with our kids) I have tended to be a bit of a commando. I want to plan and take a trip that my DH will enjoy even though he is not a huge fan.

Right now, I am thinking about staying at Coronado Springs Resort or POFQ. With our budget, the mods is the best fit at this time.

I must do Soaring this time! I was really looking forward to it on our 2005 trip and missed my chance then! So, here's to 2010!

We went with extended family in 2007, and promised to go again in 2010. We were hoping to go early January, but as sister-in-law and I (the planners) won't have the extra time off after Christmas that year (we're both teachers), it'll probably be in June. DH, kids and I got lucky, though - I'm on maternity leave right now, and we decided to go for five days this Sept. with free dining. DD is getting close to the age where we can't take her out of school anymore, and I usually can't do it while teaching. So, we're 39 days away from a trip right now, which is WAAAYYY too exciting.

We're definitely going with most of DH's family, as we did in 2007. We're also trying to talk my mom and dad into it. Dad's decided that he's been to WDW enough (4 times since 1980). I keep telling him there's no way you can go enough, and he keeps shaking his head at me. :rotfl: Oh, well.

What I'd like to do for that trip:
- Stay at least 7 days (may be hard for in-laws, so we might have to stay a few days without them!)
- Stay in a moderate (really, would love to do WL, but not sure I can do that AND a longer stay)
- See Illuminations (have been there 4 times since it's started, and STILL haven't managed this one. Since it's just our small family (including DS 5 mo.), we probably won't do it this time, either
- Continue with the dining plan - and make it to Le Cellier!
