Just wondering how many washers/dryers, do they sell detergent, etc.
Looking for ways to save on how many clothes to bring

Yep... We did - washed clothes Christmas night! If I remember, they have about 8- 10 washers and about 30 dryers. We had about 2 inches of rain on Christmas and the laundry area was quite the hopping place to be that night! :rotfl: Even with as crowded as it was, everyone was very polite and cooperative and it really didn't take long. We stayed in the 50s building and the laundry area there is right next to the swimming pool. Eventhough it was darn cold, the pool was VERY warm and the kids swam while hubby and I did laundry (well, ok, I did laundry and he brought me margaritas from the Petals bar!) If you decide to use the laundry area - you won't have any problems. I would suggest bringing your own detergent and softener though if you can - it is QUITE expensive as with most laundry areas. Have a great time on your trip!

I too did laundry at Pop while there in January.. No problems with a machines (note: I think there are 10-12 dryers).. To save money on detergent.. I measured out enough dry detergent for one load in ziploc bags and also bagged up a handful of dryer sheets. I noticed the detergent they sold was about $1/box and I think it would only cover one load. Also, it was $2 per load for the wash and sorry can't remember for the dryer..

Hey Vsimone, I was doing laundry at the side of the 50s pool on Christmas night also! You're right, it was quite the place to be that night and yes, despite the cold, there were definitely people in the pool.

The washer and dryer were each $2. They did have a machine with detergent and softener, I think for $1. The only problem I encountered was that the change machine wasn't working so I walked over to the laundry area near the 60s section. Got my change there but all the machines were being used, so headed back to the 50s. All the while carrying my bag of dirty laundry.

You'll love POP, it's great fun!

Thank you for the information. In fact, I noticed in my laundry room at home I have a couple samples I received in the mail for detergent so I will just bring those. Definately wont need to bring as many clothes now.

Make sure you have your room kay on you as you will need it to get in the laundry room.

Too funny Toystorymom!!! If you saw a young-ish (I think anyway!) lady staring at the dryers with a margarita in her hand - that was me! In fact, I had to laugh because we just got back from Palio and I changed into jeans but still had on my "fancy" earrings while I was doing laundry! Even with as crowded as it was, everyone was so polite and took turns. We did a little laundry one other afternoon when there was no one there but I try my hardest not to do laundry on vacation!!!
